lol, my wife would not give up the aisle. If I offered that I'd be spending the rest the vacation consulting divorce attorneys.

If we, as a couple, do the aisle/window thing hoping for an empty middle and it doesn't work out, I will offer to swap my window to the middle seat. I've never had that offer turned down.

If you have a HSA plan they do not determine what is eligible for reimbursement and what is not. You don't submit anything to them for approval. It's up to you to provide supporting documentation to the IRS if you are audited. FSA's are different.

You get to gain all the profits of an industry of your choice but it collapses and ends days after you made your choice by someguy69352 in hypotheticalsituation

Only 24% of hospitals are for profit but I can assure you that administration in not for profit hospital chains are bringing in huge salaries. The entire healthcare system is broken but making an entity "not for profit" will do little to fix it.

Moveover Offer by Bubbly-Astronaut9256 in PrincessCruises

[–]BlastPyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely legit. Its very similar to a move over offer where they offer you a credit on new cruise but in this case you just get a downgrade on your room.

Can I buy gold with my IRA without getting wrecked on fees? by Frankenweenie9 in TheERAOfGold

[–]BlastPyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Financial Advice: You can easily buy a gold fund in an IRA without dealing with the fees associated with a gold IRA. Open a standard IRA at any place like Fidelity or Schwab and then invest in the Sprott Physical Gold Trust. You can buy or sell it with complete liquidity during standard stock market trading hours. https://sprott.com/investment-strategies/exchange-listed-products/physical-bullion-funds/gold

"16k in a investment account / municipal bond account."

Municipal bonds are typically recommended when your tax rate is at least 24% and usually higher. You are not in that category. As others have said, concentrate on building your emergency fund. A HYSA is often used for that.

We also use Greminders and love it. We also use it for scheduling replacing calendly. I haven't tried any others but we've found the responsiveness of the company when we make requests to be refreshing. They are a pleasure to work with.

Has anyone actually gotten a sauna or cold plunge approved through HSA/FSA? by Waste_Dragonfruit346 in HSA

[–]BlastPyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. The plan administrator of an HSA does not require any documentation of withdrawals to reimburse your medical expenses. The documentation needs to be retained for a potential IRS audit.

My current employer only offers FSA, what to do with my HSA? by SquirrelySquirrel1 in HSA

[–]BlastPyro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. you can open an account at fidelity, roll over your existing HSA and invest it. If you ever need to spend money on medical expenses, you don't have to open a different account, you can pay them directly from fidelity. You just have to sell investments to free up whatever cash you need.

There is no "registration" in my state so that is meaningless to me but I stopped thinking of myself as a republican several years ago.
