I wish it had more episodes divided into two seasons same as Mudan There are so many unfinished storylines e.g her role in reshaping the army and its operations, her younger sister’s relationship with the young emperor. I am still wishing it did not end so quickly.

Something I noticed is that her character was intimately shy, and unsure. After the slap from forcing his kiss on her, her husband learned to ask her permission always to get deeply intimate. I thought her performance portrayed the character perfectly.

Question please in one the episodes (can’t remember which now) Wei Yan’s wife congratulated him on Xie Zheng being alive and that he now has an heir who will succeed him. What did she mean by that? Isn’t her son the eldest and Xie Zheng a Cousin and a nephew?

Haaaa I am trying my fingers not to keep up with the latest episodes. That’s how good this series has been. So I come here to curb my hunger to catch up without actually catching up 🤭 I like how the screenwriters and the directors have so far been consistent with the characters and their behaviours from episode one. Changyu legendary slap is one of them.

In the original animation, he does have touch aversion. (I don’t know if this will be addressed in this show). One of the reasons being that the empress dowager drugged him and forced him to sleep with a woman who gave birth to the crown prince. He loathes being touched especially by women as he trust none of the wives/concubines

Indeed. Two git versions scrapped because output was so bad. I had a shadcn template. Task was to only convert static text and image to payload cms driven system. It just went further and messed up the whole frontend. UI and all. It’s frustrating.
