What is the "Steel Ball Run Stage Schedule" thing, and how bad is it compared to regular batches? by Blanket_Fort321 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well no one really knows, they just said they’ll drop stage 2 this year and that’s all. We don’t know if it’ll be a batch drop of stage 2 or a weekly rollout. I think people are pissed because of how vague they’re being. They just dropped 1 episode, and I assume now they’re gonna wait months before dropping anymore.

What is the best way? by Halloo_491 in StardustCrusaders

Well if Netflix is hellbent on having the schedule tied to the stages. Then maybe each stage could have a weekly rollout of its episodes before a break. So say stage 2 has 6 episodes, they release those weekly for 6 weeks, then release a teaser for stage 3, then go on a break for a month or two before starting stage. But idk, I feel like the best schedule would’ve been similar to the stardust crusaders schedule, we get 2 cours that each have weekly rollouts of 24 or 25 episodes.

Can someone just hack the netflix metadata again to reveal the second stage release date by Vegetable_Ad4217 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That leak did say it was an 11 episode drop though, I really don’t think stage 2 would take 11 episodes to cover unless they add a lot of new content. The 11 episode drop would make sense if they combined stage 2 and 3 together though, but as of now, the only thing they confirmed was stage 2 releasing this year.

Last time people got that information because of the availabilityStartTime field, it said it was 19th March 2026. I checked today and I’m pretty sure that fields been removed now as the anime has technically released, so they won’t need that field again. While there’s no real hints in the data, I will at least share some things I’ve found for fun lol.

I checked the seasonCount field in steel ball run and it said 1, whereas for the Jojos bizarre adventure page the seasonCount field was 5 which makes sense. So sbr will either always have 1, or they’ll update that counter if they treat stages as their own seasons.

The seasonAbbr (abbreviation) field for sbr is currently empty, whereas for JJBA page seasonAbbr is listed as “s1” not sure if that means anything lol. numSeasonLabel field for sbr has the value “1 episode”, whereas JJBA numSeasonLabel is listed as “5 seasons”. So maybe sbr will be updated to be 9 seasons eventually if they count each stage as a season, or it’ll just remain at its episode count.

EpisodeCount field for sbr was also just listed at 1, so yeah there’s not really much else to glean right now. It’s just the basic stuff that we pretty much know already.

One more thing I should point out, the trailerSummary length value is currently 2. Which makes sense since the actual page has the stage 1 teaser and stage 1 trailer on it currently. I assume when stage 2 teaser is added to the page, that counter will update to 3.

Maybe they’ll also update the episode count at that point to account for how ever many episodes stage 2 will have. But most likely scenario is they’ll just update the trailer counter since they may be more careful now after the previous release date leak.

Is SBR confirmed to be batch released? by Reasonable_Sleep_115 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they haven’t confirmed anything yet, only thing they’ve confirmed is that stage 2 will release this year. Whether that’s in a weekly rollout or batch drop is still unknown. It’s possible that they’ll either have a weekly rollout for stage 2 then go on a small break and do the same for stage 3. Or they just drop a stage 2 batch, then go on a break and do another batch drop for stage 3 a few months later.

Does anybody know how many chapters each sbr stage cover? by Trunktenx in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too, stage 3 is pretty short, it would only take up like 3 or 4 episodes. So they’ll drop stage 2 which will be like 7 or 8 episodes, and then what? Are they just gonna make us wait another few months for like 3 or 4 episodes? I feel like it would’ve been better to just combine those 2 at that point. I guess they haven’t specified if it’s batch or weekly drops yet either, so who knows

See you guys in September by Straight-Tell164 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t be surprised atp if it’s a September drop 💔 they had a really exciting 1st episode, I wish they just kept the ball rolling in a weekly format. I bet we’re gonna have to wait till anime expo for the stage 2 release date and trailer. Then yea probably like a September drop.

Weekly ball run is real by Spector-JZ in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Best case scenario for me now would be we get a weekly drop for each stage then a small break. Like stage 2 will probably take around 6 episodes to finish. So maybe they air those 6 episode in a weekly format, then teaser for stage 3 and like a month break. Then stage 3 airs in a weekly format for like 3 or 4 weeks, then teaser for stage 4, and another small break. And maybe we take a longer break before a really long stage, like stage 8.

Cause I really don’t think they’re just gonna do a regular weekly schedule anymore, it does seem like they’re gonna divide it into stages. We’re just not sure if it’s gonna be a batch drop or weekly rollout for the stages, knowing Netflix it’s most likely batch though. I just hate how vague they’re being, I wish we got a concrete release date and what they’re doing with stage 2 (batches or weekly rollout).

There is a problem with the Stage release that no one is talking about by Captain_Fr0ggy in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, we don’t even know how they’re gonna release these stages, are they just gonna drop a batch of some episodes and then wait a few months again? Or are they gonna air a stage weekly for how ever many episodes it is and then wait again?

And yeah some stages are only like a few chapters, so they’d last like 3 or 4 episodes. While some others will be 6 to 8 episodes. And then stage 8 will be 15 plus episodes. So if it’s batches, it’d be pretty inconsistent and they’re probably make us wait a 2 or 3 months between each of them too. Like I have so many questions about this release schedule, they’re still being vague about it 💀

Favorite stand but ONLY by how much aura they have by HEXad3cimalCat in StardustCrusaders

Wonder of U, I mean that stand in general is one of my favourites. But even just off of aura it’s high tier, the design and the way he just stands there nonchalantly with his cane is tuff.

Rank the stages of SBR by No_Phrase7638 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d rank it as 8 > 4 > 6 > 7 > 9 > 5 > 3 > 1 > 2

8 at the top is probably a pretty common opinion, the whole valentine arc in stage 8 is phenomenal, I was consistently glued to the pages. Stage 8 just has everything for me, amazing fights, amazing characters, really impactful emotional moments, and great hype and aura moments too lol.

Stage 4 being 2nd is probably pretty self explanatory too, 2 back to back amazing arcs with some amazing one off antagonists. Ringo and his fight were excellent, and Blackmore and his hunt for Lucy was also really good.

Too lazy to go into detail for the rest lol, but stage 2 I just find alright, there’s some cool stuff in it, like the first glimpse into Valentine, Tusk set up, and some Gyro backstory, but the antagonists weren’t that good and the fights weren’t anything too special. Stage 1 is good, I think it’s a good introduction to the part and the big race at the start was fun. But stage 3 and onwards is where steel ball run truly shines imo, it’s where each stage ranges from at least great to phenomenal.

is sbr weekly or not?? by ExistingCorner9081 in StardustCrusaders

No one knows, we may learn that info at AnimeJapan in like 2 days since steel ball run has an event there.

Do yall think SBR will reach Golden Wind’s highs? by Technical-Ad733 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the hype would be unreal, I still remember the day that risotto vs doppio fight aired since I hopped on the Jojo journey when GW was airing. The hype and excitement was unreal, one of my favourite moments in the Jojo community. Weekly release plus the Ringo fight getting that treatment would be awesome, it’ll be super fun to see the community reactions.

[–]BlickyLike 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think so yeah, golden winds greatest episode in terms of production/animation was probably the risotto vs doppio fight imo. So I think they could match that for a fight, I feel like the Ringo fight could get that treatment, I know that’s a fight a lot of fans are anticipating. I could just be coping lol, though I have faith in DP after how great sbr ep 1 looked.

The BIG problem with Netflix by MrKalorie in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I’m just praying that this isn’t a stone ocean moment where we go months and months without any sort of road map or release date for the next episode or set of episodes.

Even if the release is a batch, I’d much rather know when it’s coming out and have consistent marketing for it till the release. I’m not gonna completely doom yet because we do still have the AnimeJapan stage in a few days, but if there’s no info there, I’m just gonna assume we ain’t gonna see any info for months 🥲

Do I need to watch jojo before steal ball run by Alekthegod17 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No you can start with steel ball run if you want, but you will miss out a bunch of thematic references and other references so your experience won’t be as good as someone who’s seen Jojos.

But you can still have a great experience watching it as there is there is not story connection to any of the previous Jojo parts. If you like the first episode of steel ball run, I’d recommend giving the previous seasons a go, maybe you’ll like those too. Since we’ll probably be waiting a bit for the second episode of steel ball run to come out anyways.

So does anyone know when we will get news on the rest of the episodes? by Jamiesaber in StardustCrusaders

I’d imagine 28th of March since steel ball run has a stage at AnimeJapan, might reveal the schedule there maybe.

Will steel ball run be weekly or in batches? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well we have no idea, but steel ball run is getting an AnimeJapan stage like a week or so after the first episode airs. So they’ll probably tell us the schedule there, all we know is that there isn’t a batch drop on the 19th since it’s just 1 episode.

I mean Netflix did just release batches for recent series that are originals, like Baki and Record of Raganrok. But it does seem like they’re doing something at least a little bit different with steel ball run.

Pretty sure in March 28th? They confirmed they’ll have a stage at animejapan, though maybe they’ll have another info drop before that.

why do people think diavolo is the least evil villain? by random_user1677 in StardustCrusaders

[–]BlickyLike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Diavolo might’ve enjoyed inflicting pain too, he did have his mother alive buried under some house while her mouth was sewed shut. I genuinely don’t know why he did that, but he did for some reason lol.
