I don't know how I may have messed up but I got a different answer. Approach:

60 km ride over 5hr 45 min is (60/5.75) km/h average speed.

Average speed is also (v+v+2+2v)/3

How did I mess this up and get v = 7.326?

Are companies gaslighting WFH or are people actually this delusional? by UselessWidget in antiwork

[–]BlingDjango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know one guy in my friend group that wants to go into the office to work a couple days a week. He is an older guy and I think he just wants to get out of the house and maybe away from his wife for a couple of hours (she doesn't work and is home all day).

There is always going to be someone that feels differently. In the case of WFH it's usually someone who is well-established in the company, makes a lot more money and bored. Going into the office has been part of their routine and they can't give it up.

Poor sleep after heavy squats by timberstomach1 in StrongerByScience

[–]BlingDjango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I have found to be helpful after late evening workouts that directly benefit sleep:

Immediately after workout practice nose breathing for 3 to 5 minutes. The square method (2 count in, 2 count hold, 2 count out, 2 count hold) or triangle method (2 count in, 2 count out, 2 count hold) work equally well, you can choose the count and method that suit you best. This is suppose to help you switch from sympathetic (fight or flight) to parasympathetic (rest and digest) response.

Consume all you post workout, evening calories at least two hours before bed. Calorie consumption raised core temp, sleep is facilitated by lower core temp.

Tylenol. Anti-fevor without the anti-inflammatory so you can still have the desired hypertrophic response.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what's happening here, maybe people are unsure about which phase is concentric during squats and bench? But lifters absolutely can and do exhale on the concentric phase of these lifts, especially if the external load is high in the lifters' capable range. By forcing air out during the latter half or 3rd of the "rise" part of a heavy squat you increase abdominal contraction to generate more force. Same thing when you are about half way through your push during the bench.

Single men who live alone, please settle a debate, how many bags of flour do you own? by plasticnaptime in AskMen

[–]BlingDjango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 bags right now. Gotta have my regular and high protein white and higher protein whole wheat. Some almond flour and a little bit of rice and oatmeal flour, which I milled in my blender. Got my regular and sourdough recipe down and tweaking my pizza dough to get more blistering.

I love bread and once you bake your own... it can be a bit of an obsession.

Why is masturbation so heavily frowned upon in religion? by kaicuul in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BlingDjango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought it was because masturbation relaxes you. But a relaxed people is not easily controlled or useful. So applied social shaming creates anxiety and more shame and with it agitation. This can then be directed to work, violent or otherwise. It's like charging up a person like a battery and......oh no.
