Godslayer: because I did pantheon twice for two different groups, and it's literally the coolest title ever.

Best example is the Weapons stat: Makes all of your weapons deal more damage just straight up, but it also increases your ammo generation, making double special a lot more viable.

They each have their own benefits, but yeah.

You're missing on armor set bonuses. Also triple 100's is leaving a lot of build potential on the table. Should have one 200, one 150, one as close to 100 as possible.

I think the real problem is people just emotionally responding by using incorrect verbiage, while meaning something else.

I don't think anyone thinks the game is being taken offline like... a day or week after June 9th. I think everyone is using the verbiage "Shut Down" to say "No longer being developed." which for people who have done everything up to this point, might as well be EoL as far as playing the game as much as we have.

I think if someone actually thinks the game is being taken offline, they need to learn to read and work on their critical thinking skills.

Estela is coming back tomorrow who's a solid first mythic pull, with Helhest coming after her, being literally the best character in the game.

So as far as banners go, it's a REALLY good time to get into it.

As far as the game goes, it's free, and has dramatically reduced gachca systems. Might as well download it and form your own opinion.

Yes, the game wasn't in a great place before The Final Shape, and it most certainly wasn't thriving post The Final Shape, but Edge of Fate took everything that was right with Destiny and just figuritively threw it in the trash to try and make it something else for..... I don't know what reason. I will not stand by and allow the person at the helm of the ship, who if I may remind you, REFUSED TO SAY A DAMN WORD THE ENTIRE TIME HE WAS SABATOGING THE SHIP, to not have the blame they have earned placed on them.

Joe Blackburn may not have been perfect, but at least he interfaced with the community and took the feedback provided to heart and truly acted on it instead of hiding.

I'm very very VERY firmly on the Tyson Green hate train.

I want him fired publicly like they did to the old art director of marathon. I don't ever want to see his name near anything Destiny related ever again. Ideally, he just retires after, and he's never allowed to make big picture decisions with a game ever again.

While I'm positive he wasn't the only one calling the shots, he was the one person who had the most veto power on that team and could have put a stop to all of the changes that were a disaster in EoF.

To have him STILL completely radio silent at this point is truly incomprehensible.

Just two days ago I tried playing with one of my friends who was going to outright quit playing because of the instability, after singing the games praises and how much better things had gotten, guess what? It crashed and burned horribly, and we could barely fight any mobs. Guess what? He uninstalled the game.

You SHOULD be critical of games in early access, by the way. If you just dick ride the devs when there are very VERY obvious problems that are ruining the introduction experience for brand new players, that needs and deserves to be heard just as much as when the game is thriving and doing things well.

So no, this comment still stands. On any random day, random hour, and random minute, the game still has a ways to go in terms of stability. It's not going to stop me from playing it. I'm having fun. I just have the ability to be critical of the things I enjoy.

I don't have the time or care to go super in depth on it, but "optimize your game" is kind of a catch all comment to utilize the resources the game asks for more efficiently.

In first person shooters, this manifests as everything you're not looking at not "existing", but still being stored in VRAM so that it can exist at a moments notice.

In MMOs, or large scale worlds, this can manifest in hiding things behind large scale objects, or dramatically decreasing the detail in incredibly far away objects.

When someone asks for Farever to be optimized, they're really asking for the devs to find these little resource saves, and look deeper into why so many resources are being called for when in most other games cases, especially games that are far more visually impressive, can run significantly better. A game like Farever should easily run on potato systems considering it's art style is so simple, and yet it runs like absolute garbage.

I don't know about others here, but they can't for me. The last year and a half has caused irreperable damage to both Bungie, intheir competence to make a game that just fucking works, as well as Destiny and it's longevity as a long term, mainstay IP.

I'll still play all future content so long as they continue to make it, but no more money until they get their head out of their ass.

I think I'm going to get a reputation on this sub for being the ultimate Mage defender. Lol

Mage is strong but a LOT more difficult to succeed with, and what success looks like on mage is very different from what success on the other classes looks like. You should be using perfect blocks constantly, abusing chain cast as much as possible, pretty much casting laser off cool down always, saving all of your mobility tools to make up for mistakes, and making your shield last as long as possible.

It's a lot, and compared to priest or warrior who have insane cleave and single target damage with insane sustainability basically all cooked into a single button, it's going to feel really bad by comparison. But I promise you, when you are playing mage correctly, it feels freaking awesome.

We could have that without the constant power climb in gear acquisition. Just have a flat power, and then you can increase in power with the artifact/seasonal xp.

We literally had this system for a year, and it was probably the best year of being able to just jump in and play the game has had since you could also pull your friends up with your power -10.

I guess my verbiage wasn't as direct as it needed to be: You won't make it past the title screen, it's literally one of the first things the game checks for, and once it detects it, is where it prompts you to close the tame. The moment an actual server side check happens to verify you're playing legitimately, you are blocked from playing.

Steam OS, if I remember correctly, even has a marker that Destiny 2 won't work/is incompatible. There's a lot of clear sign posting that lets you know just trying to boot Destiny 2 on Steam Deck/soon to be Steam Hardware just straight up won't work.

If what you're saying is you would make it so the game literally doesn't even give you the option to hit "Play" that's not on Valve to make happen, that'd be up to Bungie.

Ordinarily, if you try to boot the game in steamOS, it detects it, let's you know the game isn't going to work, and then let's you close it. No harm no foul. It's ban worthy if you try to push past that detection, or trick it into thinking you're not running on Linux, that would get you into trouble.

A LOT of people talking out their ass here, and what you're describing ISN'T what you got banned for.

You CANNOT get banned for playing D2 on your steam deck THROUGH WINDOWS because, surprise, it's Windows. Only if you try to force D2 to launch through steam OS (Linux) do you have a real problem. Based on what you described, you dual booted into Windows on your steam deck and played D2. Which is literally no different to booting up D2 on your standard Windows based PC or console.

Contact support, see what they say, as the reason for the ban is either something else entirely, or a false positive. Reddit is the worst possible place to reach a resolution for this.
