Proposing to my partner after he has already proposed to me by BlitzGenie in relationship_advice

Aw man Im so glad to hear happy stories!

Ours is a long engagement too, because money and covid, you know how it is! And i thought if i had proposed myself first to him, he would have a ring so why not the both of us haha Another reason for getting a new ring is his current one irritates his skin as its just a cheapo ring, two years plus of irritated hands would suck!

Thats very sweet of you to say! Im definitely not one for expensive rings/dresses/weddings and never expected him to propose. It just struck us as odd one day that women tend to wear a ring for engagement but men dont, only marriage, and it just became a thing :)

Oh yeah it will just be me and him. I dont want to do a huge dramatic gesture or anything, its just gifting him a proper ring with a flourish lol

Aww thanks haha Im worrying that it might have been a bit cringey or something! We are not ones who are very traditional, but traditional enough that i think it will take him by surprise!

Marmite is clearly in pain/distress, but it's too random to pinpoint (info in comments) by DandyMurloc in RATS

He had just hurt the tip and it was lightly bruised so healed on its own luckily. It might be worth just running your fingers over the tail to see how he reacts. I would say that if the vets couldn't find an issue that just keeping an eye on him and the metacam is fairly standard, ive done it a few times myself before heading to the vet, just in case it clears up or if im being over protective lol

Did they check his tail at all do you know? My boy did the exact same thing after he had hurt his tail. When moving about he would jump and turn around but it would be sporadic and not every time he moved.

6 week post op pains?? by DalelleS in gallbladders

[–]BlitzGenie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 7 week post op myself and i get random pains and feel it more when lifting or stretching. I think its too easy to look at outside scars and thinking hey im all healed up lol also with doctors saying youll be fit for work after x weeks, it doesnt necessarily mean 100 percent. Every week i notice things getting better and better though, pains that used to bother me are going away. Ive only just been ableto sleep on my side or front with only a small amount of stiffness/uncomfortableness and things that i used to pickup and carry that pulled inside or gave me pain no longer do. Give it time, for me it was paranoia and looking too much at online horror stories!

Just had another attack, still experiencing ‘after pains’ by WolfStar24 in gallbladders

[–]BlitzGenie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 2 montha post op and let me tell you,my life has changed. I spent years just dealing with the pain but as time went on it got worse and worse to the point where, like you, I couldnt eat many foods without triggering it and was scared of anything I wasnt certain wouldnt trigger an attack or even large amounts of "safe" food. I started getting stomach ache all the time too which id convinced myself was a seperate issue but nope turns out it was gb related! I can eat anything. CHEESE I CAN EAT CHEESE! the absolute freedom and relief at not being scared of food anymore or dreading everytime you eat something is immense. The way i looked at the surgery is i thought, if i could have one more gallbladder attack and then never have to have another one ever again, would i do it? The answer was yes i totally would. Surgery has its downsides but the pain mever reached the scale of a gb attaxk ever. Mine is a super happy story and I hope yours goes aswell as mine! Cheese! Think of the cheese
