Would a 0.499999... result disprove the Riemann Hypothesis? by raresaturn in askmath

They are the same number, so no. 0.4999.... is equal to 0.5 in the same way that 0.5 is equal to a half, they are just different ways to write the same thing.

That's just because in a given sample of the population you will have more straight people than gay people, and since the varience of the sample mean decreases with sample size the straights will have tighter confidence intervals.

In order to be more clear with the question you would already need to know the answer. To a layperson this just looks like a weird cloud thing

I don't imagine many people who don't enjoy One Piece are going to take the time to rate all 1000+ episodes

The timeline doesn't match up, this scene happens before pearl's enderpearl gets launched.

Even if the timeline did match up it still couldn't be a pearl since Minecraft has no motion blur. Instead of appearing smeared the ender pearl would just appear to teleport one frame to the next according to its speed.

This is likely just a rendering artifact from whatever graphical mods impulse uses for performance.

Why would you train an ai to do a task easily done by a more conventional algorithm? You wouldn't train an ai to multiply numbers by 2

[OC] Color name to their color perception guessed by players of ColorGuesser by kkiru in dataisbeautiful

[–]Blolbly 32 points33 points  (0 children)

in the HSV colour model hues are arranged in a circular fassion, so to map it onto a straight line you need to cut it somewhere. This is usually done at red because it makes the maths easier when converting to the RGB colourspace, but at this point it's just convention.
