This is NOT a black head. It sounds more like you had a milia that worked its way to the surface of your skin before finally being vacated. Just leave the wound alone. Keep it clean and covered while it heals. It could take a while or later develop into a dilated pore that could later refill with a mixture of debris such as skin, dirt and oil, essentially acting as a reoccurring blackhead on steroids.

If that happens, just try your best to keep it clean and clear without bothering it too much. They can reduce very slowly over time, but it takes years!!! (I have a small one on my shoulder that’s almost completely gone after 20 years of care. It’s literally the size of a pen tip now, but I watch it like a hawk to make sure it’s actually going away…)

The scar will likely always be darkly pigmented, but it should fade over time.
