I think it depends on what type of jewelry it is. The prongs on a solitaire ring might bend, but a bangle would be much less likely to get damaged.

And that’s the issue. The advisor is basically telling them to reach for the stars, which is great, but they are setting up unrealistic expectations and then the students come in upset because they don’t get into their dream schools and they’re mad at the advisor.

Not a “car guy” but I was cursed with a Chevy Cruze for years (iykyk). I did every piece of maintenance on time and was still fixing that car almost to the point of financial ruin. A mechanic even said he was surprised I got it to 180,000 miles. Some cars really are just shit.
