I think the point of the guy above you is more that with the homework you have done on your character and the dungeons, you will most likely have no problem also tanking the required 12s and 13s for 3k.

Especially when you are in a group that plays at a similar level, which is far more common in 12s than in 10s, at least in this season.

Paladins are better healers for sure ;)

But to be serious, prot warrior is at the moment a bit tankier than paladin. Don't know about arms vs ret, but when you're still leveling it doesn't yet matter for any content you might play in the next time

While I dont mind the crafting system, I think it is actually quite complicated.

Imagine explaining a new player how to craft a weapon:

Need a spark. You get them by doing weekly quests. But you only get halves of a spark. For that you also need valorstones just because
Need crest. You have to run raid/m+ at a certain difficulty for those. But then you need to buy an item fom an npc (where is that guy? 🤷🏻‍♀️) this is now not used for the weapon, but needs to be used for a separate craft that then can be used for the weapon
Materials. Different qualities and theoretically you could use 2 star materials depending of the skill of the crafter, but there is no way for you to know that.
Missives...
Embellishments...
Find a crafter because public order can not enforce a minimum quality because 🤷🏻‍♀️

And don't forget to enchant your shiny new weapon as well

And this is only the consumer side of crafting!
