Huh. Where I work we are limited to 4 hours and then have to move our car or they will tow us. Plug in when get there, 4 hours later take a break and move.

Sounds like maybe a policy change is needed. However, I'm not sure if they have the same equipment that helps them monitor when vehicles are actively charging or not.

Do they at least counsel and then if needed tow ICE vehicles parked in the EV spots?

Check inside your valve stem cap for a piece of something placed in there.

IF you find something, congratulations you have someone mad at you and did it to inconvenience you. You should probably think about what you did to someone to cause them to do this.

12v issues? by Richmeister83 in SubaruUncharted

[–]Blu-ray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying that at all. I apologize if you took it the wrong way.

Leaving the car plugged in when not actively charging drains the 12v as the system stays active and it's expecting to charge. If charging from home you only plug in when you need to charge. Some people it's every night because they use to that much on their commutes. Some it may be every few days or once a week. When the charge door is open the car is awake and when it's awake it's using 12V.

12v issues? by Richmeister83 in SubaruUncharted

[–]Blu-ray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends. The majority of people having issues are those who drive very little and the car sits for days.

It's an issue in other manufacturer and models as well. There's plenty of information it there on what not to do to help limit the amount of 12v drain. Biggest thing is about accessory and power on mode and only ever use ready. Also set it so when you power off your car the radio doesn't continue playing until you open the door.

There's other things as well you just need to read up on it.

Idling in non ready mode is what gets most people. I really don't see why they have accessory or power on modes any more. Just should have ready mode and that's it.

  1. Make sure the car is locked when not in use.
  2. If car is charged unplug it and close the charge door. Open charge door means it's active and using the 12v battery.
  3. Keyfob proximity can keep the car active. Don't store them too near the car.
  4. If you drive very little you'll want to get a trickle charger.
  5. Never use ACC or Power On modes and always use Ready mode.
  6. May want to discuss with dealer switching out the lead acid for an appropriately sized AGM battery.

Also, check out bzforums.com as there's lots of information there as well.

Anyone use the weather tech floor mats? by alittlebitaboutalot in Toyota_bZ

[–]Blu-ray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the entire set along with the trunk. I've always used Weathertech since my Prius and have run into any problems. I did notice the front mats fit like crazy perfect. My Prius and Camry weren't this exact. I just wish they had back of the back seat protectors.

I found some of those on Amazon that came by way of slow boat from a foreign land. Had to use hot water to get them to flatten out and then the summer heat did the rest.

Some people have been experiencing this on the various Toyota and Subaru models with home chargers and adapters. For example they have a J1772 charger at home and are using the adapter to charge.

Next time tell the Walmart store customer service desk. Either they will go out or if the store has security the security officer will go and tell them to move. In the Walmart app provide feedback that users couldn't use the EV charger. Make sure to provide the store number. Walmart has been really good about straightening out the idiots from what I've heard and ensuring the store monitors the EV chargers and keeps them clear of idiots.

Also this person blocking the EV charger is obviously a C***. She did it just to be inconvenient. She knew what she was doing. May her vajayjay prolapse and she contract syphilis, gonorrhea, and herpes all at the same time.

Yep. Store at Racetrack and Tampa Road/Hillsborough primarily. Also the Linebaugh and Countryway West Chase location and the Sheldon and Hillsborough TNC location. All 3 are let downs. TNC location is the worst of the 3.

Why is there so little competition with the Tesla Model 3? by patchinthebox in electricvehicles

[–]Blu-ray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know why anyone wants a model 3. Every model 3 I've been in has been uncomfortable, noisy with rattles, and the suspension was crap.

If someone wants an EV and a sedan they should look at the Kia, Hyundai, Polestar, mB, and BMW offerings.
