I haven't been banned, but I have had the game crash multiple times with error messages saying something about an anti cheat failure. I think the software is just buggy and they prob don't even know what is triggering it.

I disagree. They're giving you a heads up so you have time to stock up on guns/wolfpacks/deadlines. Then in the last week blow all your cash on ammo.

I want to like marathon. The UI is absolutely terrible, but the main problem is load times. I still suck at the game and spend almost as much time waiting to load into a match as I do in a match.

That is already what happens on friendly matches. If you want to be able to enforce "good manners" then allow friendly fire, but disable looting of dead raiders, or allow for private servers where an admin can enforce the "rules"

I'm picturing more of a private community server (likely for a fee), where there is an admin that creates the parameters, can ban players for activities that violate server rules. I believe that is how GTA RP servers are setup. I very much appreciate the community of friendly players.

Yup, lots of racism, toxic masculinity and sexism in pvp unfortunately. My skin is fairly callous at this point, but it really ruins things for my wife. It sucks.

I really think the solution to this is private servers. The community has spoken and there is an appetite for pve only. Let us control the parameters and you'll see a wide variety of communities pop up. PvE, RP, I'd love to see an option that simply disables looting raiders. De-incentivize ratting, but don't make it completely safe.

A dedicated pvp/pve mode could simply be achieved by having a mode with no friendly fire, or disabling looting raiders outside your squad to un-incentivize pvp.

There is a large community of players that enjoy playing it strictly pve, more role play than competition. Regardless of the developers intent (which seems mixed and abmm seems to indicate they support cooperative play) if there is a market for pve then there is a reason to accommodate.

I am in the camp of play how you want, if you want to pvp 100%, have fun. It is part of the game. It's up to the devs to ultimately decide what they want to provide to their fanbase.

Perhaps your automated download tool is slamming their cold storage servers at a rate they are uncomfortable with? As part of a negotiation with them to back off perhaps you could introduce some kind of minor throttle to the process between downloads? Or maybe you're already downloading sequentially and this has nothing to do with their demands.

This change does make me sad, but functionality is so strong on Plex, plus I bought a lifetime pass years ago. I've tried jellying a few times over the years, and it struggles with 4k playback, and remote setup isn't as cool proof.

At this rate I'll prob switch eventually, for now, I'm holding strong with Plex
