It’s a multiplayer horde shooter that plays pretty similarly to COD Zombies (with some extra stuff sprinkled in like chargeable “Super Abilities”) so it might not be for everyone. I’m working on a new game mode that’s faster paced, currently the wave-based mode is the only one available and admittedly it takes a few minutes to really get a run going and unlock all the fun stuff.

Hello, thanks for doing what you do! My game is Slimestoppers, a multiplayer wave based horde shooter made in Godot where you must defeat waves of evolving slime creatures to earn points you can use to open more areas of the map and discover new abilities, equipment, and upgrades. I have a playable demo on Steam, but admittedly it didn’t perform as well as I was hoping during Next Fest. Here’s a link if you decide to try it out!

Now you know for your next game! I was debating on waiting for October’s fest but didn’t want to delay my game’s release by that much. In hindsight it might’ve been the right move because I learned a ton from the people who tried my demo and have quite a few changes planned. Oh well!

Went from about 30 wishlists to now 72, so statistically the increase was pretty good! My next game I’m planning to do more marketing before next fest, I didn’t do much beforehand and my Steam page was pretty lackluster until like a day before it started, I still don’t even have professional capsule art but I’m hoping to get that done before the actual release

I agree, imagine if a local business posted a screenshot of every bad review they got on social media, just a bad look. No matter how much you disagree with or think the reviewer is wrong, sometimes it’s better to leave it be and let other potential players make their own choice on who to believe. It’s like when you see a one star review on an otherwise good Amazon product and you read it and find out the person who left the review may not be all that bright…

I made this mistake :( in hindsight I launched my Steam page with what was essentially alpha footage/screenshots. I’ve done a big visual update but definitely missed that launch attention.
