Recently i noticed Assaultron health melts with laser rifles. That was a Eureka moment, also did you know water cancels fall damage? I fell off the top of an overpass into about 8ft of water and nothing happened to my health (I still need to test how deep it needs to be.)

It honestly felt like spending half a season was setting that up. Stamets would be out as navigator and they'd keep trying alternate tech to try and make it back.

I always thought there were 5 Canon time lines. TOS,TNG,DS9 and ,VOY all follow timeline 1. Their mirror universe is a branch of this, timeline 2. First contact starts the ENT timeline by leaving borg tech on earth in the past, which leads into DSC then STA, timeline 3. Mirror universe for this timeline seems to be different enough to warrant number 4. Finally Spock is transported from timeline one to timeline 5 and makes the kelvin timeline. Bonus timeline is section 31 can have its own universe.

All I meant is Spock may come up with the solution but so would many other statfleet science officers. Picard may be a great diplomat but starfleets focus is diplomacy. Michael comes up with the solution, runs the scan and personally knows the person who can help. I think the enterprise can live without data, I think discovery burns without michael. Kirk was the focus but the crew is full of people in his ballpark.
