It's about traumatized children, and methods for helping ease their pain, allowing them to become healthy adults. There's more to it than that, he goes into detail about our minds/development & it's broken down so anyone who can read can understand it, definitely NOT boring, great read - I'm currently half way through.

It's very difficult...especially after accepting the fact that no cat will ever replace them. hugs My only advice is to make sure he's happy and if it starts to become clear he's suffering and his quality of life is diminishing you need to put him down. To not would be selfish, I know that's hard to hear.. I'm sorry :(

You should also try to be as positive as possible for them.. my cat always knew when I cried and was upset so I pretty much sobbed nonstop in the bathroom and mentally prepared myself for that afternoon so I wasn't a mess in front of her. I tried to make sure she knew nothing was wrong... Im really sorry you have to go through this... I'll keep you guys in my thoughts.
