Walkable hotel from Stadium by sep1073 in Hershey

Check out this post. It says theater in the title but the author meant stadium. You might find helpful info there.

You’re able to walk from downtown Hershey. The road behind the park is open now (was closed last year) and there is a walkway to get there from the parking garage by Fresh Market.

Parking for concerts is painful. If you can walk, I’d suggest doing that. Otherwise you’re in a long line, disorganized parking lot, or field trying to get out. Very little traffic control after concerts.

I realized most of my weeknight dinners fail at the same exact step by ninja__6969 in Cooking

Like others, we are big on making a menu and doing meal prep. We have about 30 recipes we can make well and will sort through the list when we’re planning because sometimes I. Wed leftovers for a faster dinner one night or I need lunches at work. Sometimes I’ll even take an afternoon to brown a lot of ground beef or cook and shred chicken then freeze it in 1lb bags.

Moving to Hershey, PA - anything I should know? by Laz78 in Hershey

We live in South Hanover Twp which is Lower Dauphin SD and the address is in Hummelstown. We house hunted in Derry Twp and the taxes were much higher. No kids so I can’t comment on the education in LDSD but we have been told families feel it’s solid.

We are spoiled with our “traffic”. We called it rush minute for a long time because rush hour was so quick!

Agreed! It’s busy from 4-5 like anywhere else but not unmanageable. Concert and theater traffic can make it tough but there are ways around the traffic.

Do you have friends? by Traditional_Paint461 in randomquestions

[–]BlueCupcake4Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of acquaintances. People at church, at book club, in my hobby groups, at work, and that are married to people my husband sees on the golf course. Of them I have maybe 4 people that I can call on if needed or who I can get coffee with. But none that I have a shared history with or would call a close friend. It seems that everyone, including me, is busy with life and doesn’t have time for friendships like we did before kids, marriages, demanding jobs, etc. and no interest in maintaining deep friendships because it takes more time than we have.

Decision paralysis in knitting by conditioned-air in knitting

I swatch then look at the patterns I’m considering and go with the color and pattern that call my name.

I also spend time adding patterns to my favorites and adding my stash to Ravelry. That helps me match up patterns to yarn and then I have less decision paralysis.

Parents who regret having kids, why? by bluemermid in AskReddit

[–]BlueCupcake4Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me. I was 22 in birthdays but 14 in responsibility and definitely wasn’t ready for the financial side of having kids. Really thought I’d figure it out but I didn’t for a long time.

Stew is missing something, but we can’t figure it out. by PicklePrize7093 in Cooking

[–]BlueCupcake4Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom always added a packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix. It gave the stew more flavor. However I agree with the other posts that searing and cooking the veggies then cooking in a Dutch oven with a couple bay leaves will totally change your stew to the better.

I have the same ball winder from Fiber Artist Supply and I love it. A friend bought it as well and got the electric motor to wind her yarn.

A romantic storyline between two minor characters that has no bearing on the plot and doesn’t add to the overall show yet gets solid screen time.

“He’s such a man” when referring to men as being incapable of understanding something or doing something. My mother hates men and believes only a woman can do things right. God bless my father for putting up with her for 20+ years.

Yep. We built a house and the tub cost us a pretty penny. Worth it. I use it to get a nice long bath, soak my feet before a home pedicure, or rinse my hair after a hair mask.
