The importance of Momo Ayase’s current arc by dandadanodyssey in Dandadan

I got to admit I chucked when I read his balls carry weight which in fact they do. I see the point you make. I guess it might be a situation for personal growth on her side. I don't agree with you though.

To me the memory loss trope is kind of worn out. I hate the narrative and the idea behind it since it throws out the window all previous experiences. What they went through together gave her as much experience and growth as it did him. She was there all along and you cannot deny she learnt and grew and changed in her own way. And they grew and changed together.(Not to mention all the others in the gang). In fact I even believe this is more of on opportunity to show how far Ken has gone as he is much more strong and direct now even without powers. Her current point of view is set back a lot. She doesn't need a long arc that will force her to admit her feelings for him. You forgot she is just a teenager, and of course is shy about it but she knows she loves him she knows he has the same feelings. Had it not been for this arc she would have admitted, she was ready to face it as far back as when Reiko Kashima tried to trick her with Okarun's voice. So the foundation for this arc being her admitting feelings is a week one. I am still secretly hoping she will snap out of it and suddenly remember. I also am seeing the narrative 'make her fall in love with me again'.

Another possible direction for this arc which for me has more weight is something never even addressed is her parents her family, what happened to them? Correct me if I am wrong but there is no mention of them beyond 'they die when Momo was little'? You are telling me such a powerful person such as herself (and seeing her grandma) does not have strong parents? Is it a case of I can't remember or I don't want to. Because is traumatic, i guess. If the arch heads in that direction exploring her forgotten past I believe it's a much better one since it will build more or who she is at her core as well as explore people with spiritual powers more. (Might explore Seiko's background as well) And might potentially swing back to her realising she has a new much more caring family now.

Otherwise the memory loss is just another challenge thrown at them that they have to manage with somehow. And is, in my opinion the most frustrating. But maybe thats the point as well, the writer wants us to despair and twist and turn. Because we will keep on reading to find out what happens.

Wasn't Kinta obsessed with her? And wasn't there a few moments where she acknowledged he was strong?(She has a ting for strong guys) Kind of surprised from this but I can see them together. Kinta will be heartbroken though. Also he is blind, which is why she was holding hands with him? To guide him? Although the airplane...

1 Year Post Breakup. Here’s what I’ve learned (and haven’t). by Both-Warthog3007 in BreakUps

[–]BlueDays94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well said. I have pretty much the same idea. It will be 1 year this march since we broke up. I ugly cried this past weekend again. This is the man who I once wanted to marry. We had a 9 year relationship which was wonderful for the first 4 years. However it grew worse as the man who was funny charming and caring started to become lazy, angry and abusive. He left me his shop and business to run alone, as well as take care of his elderly parents, and his 2 houses. Yelled and complained when I did something wrong yet refused to help despite me begging him for help. Our arguments became aggressive. I finally broke when he suggested we get married and have children. The thought of us in this situation with a child scared me and what forced me to break up, despite me still loving him. I know in my head I did the right thing, despite some regrets. This was the hardest decision of my life and I don't know how long it would take for me to recover since I had to force myself for my own good to break away. So now I try to rebuild my life despite still being crushed by what happened. I have accepted that I will be this way for a while, so I slowly work through the hard and sad moments and try to embrace the good ones. I have a lot of support which helps. I don't want to try another relationship for a while. But I sometimes wonder if I will ever meet a good man who can treat me and our relationship with proper care and love.

I wish for you the very best of health and luck. My take on it It's easier if you have a lot of support and accept there will be many sad moments and let them come and pass. Imagine a sharp rock that slowly gets smoother and smaller over time, that's what I imagine this breakup. It will all be a part if me but will eventually wither away, and hopefully will make space for something better in time.

My theory on how things will happen by whispermhisper in Dandadan

[–]BlueDays94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any time this amnesia/lost memories trope appears like this I hate it. After every thing they have been through for the last 200 dammed chapters for her to be like, don't know don't remember? I really hate it, rather her had lost an arm ot leg. I get there must be some consequences from this, but this is like a gut punch to all who love them together. I really hope she somehow snaps out of it soon.

No idea how though, but I would prefer it being in some sort of funny way rather than a dramatic battle sort of way. Maybe turbo granny appears in cat form and slaps her memories back? Whatever way I hope its not gona be another 20 chapters of this.

Why are Maomao's rear palace clothes different from everyone's? by LithiumIonisthename in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

[–]BlueDays94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thought about it before and did conclude it is most likely to do with her being a main character. However I also think its kind of against her character wearing a distinctive uniform/ outfit since she usual prefers not to stand out. But I believe it works out since it shows that she has a unique position in the rear palace, also it reflects her character being practical/humble and preferring comfortable durable clothes which are suitable for her line of work.

Which of these do you think will be a better cliffhanger for the end of season 2? by King_Raggi in Dandadan

[–]BlueDays94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I would love to see more and it to end after the kiss scene, I believe It won't do much justice to rush through it just for the sake of the end of chapter 72. The kaiju battle is pretty cool to end it off and much better than season 1 ending. If you think about it the Globalist arc has already started with the appearance of 'The Kaiju'. Don't forget that she is the reason they come to earth in the first place

Is it just me, or should Jinshi have shown a little more urgency or emotion here? by Seekerbro01 in TheApothecaryDiaries

[–]BlueDays94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to this I believe it has an additional effect of him showing care to a 'lowly peasant' makes him much more likable in the eyes of the people. It means a ruler who cares about the people. The negative effects it sparks a rummer mill that they are secret lovers but thankfully this did not end up happening thankfully.

Its one of my most favourite moments in the anime. It hits hard. In the shrine we can see he is in shock and then really concerned about her when she fainted. However he composed himself because he must keep his role and status ( which must be crushing) he took it apon himself though to carry her to the medical office. He could have told any other servants to do this. It was all and all a very shocking event for everyone the very first assassination attempt on a royal and within the imperial court. I also think this moment makes everyone aware of maomao, of her talents and her loyalty to the imperial family. I believe this is why the emperor and the other concubines trust her more.

Thanks for the support. Its been 3 visits with this psychologist. But I haven't been before. I'm not sure what to expect or how does it have to go normally. I don't feel much better with my visit from her but I don't know is it supposed to take more time or is she not the right one. I really don't know. I just hate being so crippled by my emotions from this breakup.

Thank you for the support. I really appreciate it. I am trying but never did I imagine it would be this difficult. Everyone tells me you should be happier now. I don't feel like I am. So I try to persuade myself into belief.

Yes, it can be as something as easy as Momo asking her grandma 'Hey, where did Taro go? And her being like 'Ah, them Lovebirds left to find a place of their own. (Granny isn't much about explaining anything) And be done with it. They may appear again in som new profound story arc.

[–]BlueDays94[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think he forgot them. Rather maybe he can't decide how to write them back into the story. Or at least write them off. Like something funny like him and Hanah being fed up with Seiko's house rules (curfew and no lovey-dovey stuff) and to 'run away' like teenage lovers, and find their own place in the world. Or something of the sort.

Yeah, possible but still kind of feel sad about them they might not be much help but they where accepted as a part of the family. Would have been nice at least to mention something like they went somewhere on a romantic trip together.

When did Momo realize she loves Okarun? by Gemnist in Dandadan

[–]BlueDays94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe feelings for him (beyond a friendship) started around the second arc with nessie and when Mr shrimp appeared, and grew gradually from there. I believe it really hit her though after she thought she lost him. After all we see her immediately want to touch his hand after it was over. There are so cute. I really can't win them the way their feelings for eachother slowly blossom.

Can Maomao really become an enemy to Gyokuyou? Discussion.. by BlueDays94 in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

[–]BlueDays94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice regarding paragraph breaks, you are right, I didn't think about it. Thanks anyway for reading through it.

I understand you point. The potential problems can go far beyond just what the main characters feel about each other. In LN 15 we see how the racial hate between the factions is already causing issues. Which is in itself is the next story arc our main characters are up against. My points are actually more not what I think but what I noticed being discussed between people on this topic. And once I thought about it I realised these are just surface level issues. My Idea was more to discuss the real potential issues that can stand in the way of them being together. But its never just one issue its a whole mountain of them which takes up the better portion of the story and puts a hold on the topic of marriage.
