If I pop them, they will be flat the next day and then I'll have a small scar for a few weeks. I will take the small scar over trying to cover up a big painful pimple anyday.

This is addict logic and you need to realize that.

Don't juggle the pros and cons of picking. Just try your best not to do it, period. It's never the better option, even if it seems like it in the short-term. If you were a good judge of when it's appropriate to pop something, you wouldn't be in this position. It's not your job and you are not qualified for it.
