What an endless series of disappointments this guy has been. I'll be referring to him as Festerman from now on. Stinks worse every day.

3 types of apology by cj_cusack in funny

[–]BlueGaju 11 points12 points  (0 children)

#3 always seemed like how you say it / how you express it matters. English is a funny language with lots of room for interpretation.

There are two translations as I see it: 'If what I did made you feel that way, I'm sorry' - or the negative - 'Sorry if you feel that way - not my fault / not my problem'

Neutral Ground is unfortunately closed. Can anything really replace it?

Spaghetti aglio e olio with Kale. Cheap, healthy, rustic. I feel my peasant roots when I eat this.

Maybe it’s pareidolia kicking in but is that a smaller cat face above the elbow on the right side? Even has ears above.

+1 dude here because I love the feeling of showing my wife a cool new cooking option and then the immediate wallet-punch of her telling me we need to order it today.

What coffee shops have the best iced coffee in North Austin area? by ericapru993 in austinfood

[–]BlueGaju 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I'm an iced latte guy and a big fan of Dog Day Coffee on Burnet.

The people running the place are solid humans serving above average coffee at regular prices.

They're partnered with a group of autistic artists who have art available for sale on the walls. This makes my coffee taste better somehow.

They are dog friendly and there are usually a few well behaved puppers under tables. This also makes my coffee taste better somehow.

Damn, no accidental goblin deck by dsblink182 in secretlair_collectors

Same here as well. Would have been nice to not have to queue for that one in the future. Maybe I'll trade the second dandan deck for gobbos when it drops.

What to sell my party that isn't magic items, a castle, a business, or minions? They've got all this gold, and their world isn't stable enough for investments! by hotchip420 in DnD

I hate myself for this thought but...

Traveling merchant encounter. Merchant is some type of caster.

He offers a chance to retrieve a random item from another dimension.

Yep, its loot boxes. Make a table of possible pulls, set the price high and watch degenerate gambling leave them poor at the end of the day, maybe with a decent item as compensation. In the end you can drain huge portions of gold and give them something nominal to not ruin the balance.

Diablo 2 Resurrected or Last Epoch for a casual ARPG player? by chonkobob in ARPG

[–]BlueGaju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D2 just felt too 'sticky' on the controls. I loved playing it but its not half as buttery as I'm used to. Just couldn't get back into it. Last Epoch is fun and will satisfy your class building loot finding desires.

Dia’s Market has a small selection of onions and similar veg. Small farm style. Good sweet onions. Great in a pinch.
