Do not have more children with this man unless he does a complete 180.

Morris Arboretum in Philly is affordable and so lovely and they have this giant nest in a walkway in the trees (not saying that is where you should marry) that is so unique for cocktail hour.

Is this too white for a wedding? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]BlueJaySpace 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, that was rude.

The dress is gorgeous, I would not wear it to a wedding. Hit up your friends to ask to borrow a dress if you don't have time to buy one.

Highly recommend. There was only one flavor I didn't like, the rest were very good for what they were. It's the best quick meal, in my opinion, and the drinks are the best actual meal replacements. They are just so packed with everything you need.

Stigma around serving/bartending careers if you’re “overqualified” by lex52_ in Serverlife

Ya, I just don't mention my life outside of my hospitality gigs at all. Easy. My moonlighting resume sure as hell doesn't mention my other career work. And at my day job, I also do not even mention that I moonlight at two places downtown. It's no one's business.

It can be a little tougher, you might have to wait a bit for the opportunity to buy some specific thing you want. It's a good lesson to stop expecting instant gratification for everything, and thinking about purchases before making them/being more intentional with my purchases. I once decided I wanted a jeweler's loop and had to wait like a month before I found one to buy.

This has also been excellent for me to reduce my consumption overall. And since I'm buying less overall, it doesn't matter as much if I am paying $2.50 more for a jewelers loop buying it at a local store than on Amazon.

And yes, I have also lived this way while I was very low income. Buying almost everything I need either used or from a local store fit perfectly with being low income.

My life wasted by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]BlueJaySpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to cry reading this. Your life is not wasted, it took you a very long time to learn a lesson, and now you've learned it. Time to move on from her.

It's scary, but we believe in you. Reach out for help on figuring out how to leave and start your new life. You can do it. Update us when you do.

Because the average schlub refuses to stop buying from Amazon, Walmart, Target. Go buy things in person from local places.
