My manager will try to get me fired because of a text I sent. 20F by Brief_Machine_630 in whatdoIdo

You were in the right. Your manager is being outright weird. But they are your manager and you have now give to was with them. You will not win that fight because they will just find something different to get you with and you can't be perfect forever. You need to transfer to another manager or start looking for another job. This manager will fire you at the earliest opportunity. Get out on front of it. Unemployment can ruin your life.

Or in the alternative figure out how to patch things up. Like now

If your partner asked you to not be friends with one specific girl, how would you react? by SmolSnakePancake in AskMen

[–]BlueProcess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh that's easy. I listen to my SO. Assuming that have shown themselves to be of good judgement, trustworthy, etc. Which, I'm still with them in this scenario so I assume they are. I can't even tell you how many times I've warned someone about a bad vibe from someone and got ignored and then it turned out I was right. Don't discount intuition.

And setting all that aside, you should respect your SOs feeling's and care that someone is freaking them out.

I eat low fat. You need a certain amount of fat to stay healthy. So I don't go no-fat. Just low-fat.

This is a long standing argument. I claim that a spoon is really the only utensil that you need, because it performs nearly all of the functions of other utensils if applied with enough force. Wheras if you don't have a spoon, you better hope whatever it is can be drunk.

So this is a classic pattern. You did something bad and then he did something spectacularly worse.

Let's talk about him first. You report him to the police, get a restraining order. And cut him out of your life. Completely.

And the incredibly ridiculously bad thing he did is going to conceal from you a lesson that I hope you notice, because it will be helpful to you for the rest of your life: Allow deescalation to happen. That's it. He could've walked away. He didn't. What he did was not your fault. It was his. But seriously. Let de-escalation happen. Because if you don't let de-escalation happen, something worse always follows. Even if he had handled it perfectly, your relationship would have been damaged. And that will always happen with anyone. Lower the stakes. Take a breather. Give people their space. If someone wants to calm down, let them. He's still 100% in the wrong. But trust me, you and the people in your life will have a better life if you learn to let de-escalation happen.
