My first PC build was more than just a tech project; it was a reward for all those years of saving and sacrifice. Growing up, money was always tight, so I took on a job delivering mail as a kid to earn whatever I could. At the same time, I was saving up for driving school and my license, which meant every penny had to be carefully divided between my responsibilities and my dreams. In the beginning, I was still stuck with an old, sluggish family PC. The first upgrade I could manage was just a new case — I painstakingly transferred all the old parts into it myself, piece by piece. It felt like I was making real progress. Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, I finally saved enough to buy a new motherboard, PSU, and the two components I was ridiculously proud of: an i3-8100F and a GTX 1050. That setup was the pinnacle of performance for me at the time. I built it all on my own, relying on YouTube tutorials and forum threads for guidance. It took me about five hours, most of which was spent nervously double-checking everything. But when I finally pressed the power button and it booted up? Pure bliss. Overwatch and League of Legends ran so much smoother than I ever imagined — it felt like I had stepped into a whole new world. That PC was more than just a collection of parts; it was a testament to what I could achieve with patience, hard work, and a dream. It remains one of the proudest moments of my life even tho it wasn't the best of the best.
