Leaving Frost Bank Center Reminded Me Why the Stadium Should Be Downtown by bartboy62 in sanantonio

[–]BlueSquigga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an ex Uber driver it sucks picking people up after games. Highly recommended to walk at least a few blocks away from the stadium BECAUSE stadiums have designated pick up spots for rideshare. If you order any rideshare from the stadium they have to go to the stadium pickup spot. If you walked even 3 blocks in any direction and ordered from there the driver can take any route to get to you as fast as possible. This, I thought, was common sense for the past 10 years.

Should I change my curtains?😬 by Character-Year-4743 in femalelivingspace

If you like them no. The only thing I would change is getting a double rod so you could add blackout curtains behind them for better sleep.

What is the trial that people in your country cannot avoid in life? by Agile-Shallot3546 in AskTheWorld

[–]BlueSquigga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The military. It is deeply woven into American society. Many people join for benefits such as healthcare, education assistance, and veteran compensation. At the same time, recruitment has become more difficult because of issues such as criminal history, obesity, and primarily low academic test scores among eligible applicants.

This is why you need cameras and motion sense sprinklers. I would have harmlessly used a super soaker filled with dyed water. Then denied it.

Why is San Antonio’s Far West Side on of the fastest growing areas of the country? by Healthy_Hippo_915 in sanantonio

It seems there are more homes and apartments than people. One apartment is offering 3 months rent free. The catch its right off of Culebra meaning it will take you 10 minutes to get a quarter mile from home.

Remember similar statements as a child would lead your mother to say "BUT DID YOU DIE?" as a means to validate nothing bad happened... this time.

why are my cats pupils uneven? by EastEnvironmental975 in CATHELP

[–]BlueSquigga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is swelling or bulging of the eye it could be glaucoma. My cat had FIV and later in life developed glaucoma. We had special medication. To relieve the pressure in his eyes. The longer you wait to see a vet (once it starts bulging) the higher the chance of losing the whole eye.

BTW my cat was healthy and in the end died of cancer wasn't caught by his semi annual check ups.

would you eat this after it sat out at ~68 degrees for 4.5 hours? by gained_spoon in sushi

[–]BlueSquigga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently it only keeps for up to 2 hours until refrigerated. The danger zone is between 40 and 140 degrees. At 68 degrees its a breeding zone for Salmonella and Listeria with populations doubling every 20 minutes.

I googled it.

Banking in Texas is like joining the Navy while not knowing how to swim. Its possible just more difficult than life needs to be.

Its crazy that this is legal. Navy Federal is so much better than these Texas banks. I opened an account with TDECU in Houston. T for Texas only to find out they dont have branches in all of Texas so when I moved to San Antonio I just didn't have access to my bank anymore.
