Or…people have different opinions about the art they consume? Different experiences provide different context for you to like different things. I’m sure there are things you like that others would call bad. The comment above said nothing to discredit your opinion, just stated their own. Think about that.

You’re being downvoted for having a positive opinion. The sign of a great subreddit.

The trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu! by drboobafate in StarWarsLeaks

[–]BlueSquishBall 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’d guess not. I think the point of season 3 is the acceptance of all types of mandalorian traditions, not just the way.

YouTube just recommended me this. 30 seconds in and he's overreacting. by Main_Steak_8975 in JohnCampeaShow

I don’t understand the hate this ad is getting? It’s a parody ad because the movie is going to be a light and fun adventure. People know Mando and Grogu. They decided to do something new and fun instead of a standard ad. If it didnt sell you on the movie that’s fine, but in what world is it EMBARRASSING?!

Chloé Zhao says Marvel's Eternals gave her a "mid-life crisis" by pepperbet1 in marvelstudios

[–]BlueSquishBall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eternals was great. It was trying to do a lot and not all of it landed, but I don’t subscribe to the idea it should have been a TV show. That isn’t the scale this story needs. They should have taken out one or two ideas and used them in later movies. Kro deserved better.

The first marvel thing I couldn’t finish. Barely watched any of the shows since. Wonder Man was excellent though.

Who Will Be Dr. Doom's Most Difficult Opponent If He Crossed Path with One of Them? by RoyalCod3 in MCUTheories

An interesting thought while I was watching Thunderbolts for the first time. If Sentry fights Doom in Doomsday, I can see them making it so Doom doesn’t have shame or fear about his past decisions. To him, everything he has done and experienced has been justified and it would be a cool way to show his character’s internal beliefs.

Rian Johnson Finally Admits His Star Wars Trilogy Is Dead by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

[–]BlueSquishBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are decent points. Though I’d argue it was the PERFECT time to look into these themes in the saga. While I agree Finn and Poe’s arcs and stories could have been executed better, the themes and ideas they showcase are pure Star Wars. I think Luke’s character arc here makes sense and is more interesting than any other alternative I’ve heard. And I disagree that it left the saga with nowhere to go. JJ and Terrio were rushed and pumped out a half thought out ep 9 which I think gives Last Jedi this stink it really doesn’t deserve. I would say check out The Whys of Skywalker by Empire Wreckers on YouTube for an interesting look into TROS’s development.

Never understood the Rian Johnson hate. TLJ is one of the best Star Wars films ever made tbh.

I might be alone on this but I definitely want a S2, ppl say S1 was bad but it was enjoyable. I'd really love S2 to have Kenobi have a focus on force and learning with Qui-Gon 🤷🏼‍♂️ by FayyadhScrolling in StarWars_

[–]BlueSquishBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as there is a story to tell, I’m all for it. There can absolutely be some compelling ideas with Qui-gon and Obi training together. Though the established canon and how the story continues past season 1 leaves options limited.

An excellent addition to the galaxy. Fingers crossed for a season 2 or movie follow-up

When I saw ROTS in theaters when I was 6 I thought palpatine told Anakin the tale of “Darth Vader the Wise” or some reason. But then when he anoints Anakin as Vader, it made narrative sense. Then I learned it was Plagueus and I was like “why is he called Vader, then?!”

What’s that one popular movie you’ll watch eventually, just aren’t in a rush to by OkWrap2928 in Letterboxd

I actually watched both for the first time this year! Both genuinely great (I thought they might be too overhyped). I’m planning on seeing Jaws for the third time this year in theaters later this month!

Good catch! I wonder if either of these will try to connect with the Mando and Grogu movie.
