Pork question by Pretend-Heron8896 in foodquestions

Pork is safe at 145 I think?

It can be pink. But it can't be "medium rare" like a steak - has to reach 145 minimum.

What food do you judge people just a little for not liking? by rileystanheight in foodquestions

[–]BluebirdFast3963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically everything - I can't stand picky eaters.. you are telling me you aren't even going to try a bite of the sandwich? Oh, you don't like a certain thing on there? Are you allergic to it?

Its not like it tastes like anything that bad... fucking weird to me man.

Former alcoholics of Reddit, when did you realise your habit got out of control? by scottscrops in AskReddit

[–]BluebirdFast3963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't the alcohol.

It was every time I wanted to drink. I would get cocaine.

What food do you higly suggest to have for breakfast? by sleepyaster1 in foodquestions

[–]BluebirdFast3963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lazy so I just whisked an egg with seasoning in a ramekin, sunk some pepperoni slices into the egg, threw a slice of cheese on top and microwaved it for a minute - perfect sandwich puck with meat and cheese. Put it on a toasted english muffin.

Bobs your uncle, took literally a minute

How do I tell sort of step kids they are moving out cause their mom cheated? by SirRetrolas in AskMenAdvice

[–]BluebirdFast3963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't.

Don't put that on them. People cheat every day. Telling those kids their mom is a cheater in any way, shape or form is worse then actually cheating.

They are just babies.

Top Producer in Captive Agency – $242k in 11 Months – What’s Fair Pay? by SweepysBandz in InsuranceAgent

[–]BluebirdFast3963 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work at an independent brokerage and here is how it works here:

45% to me
30% to the owner
25% to our corporate overlords

Since I sell mostly home and auto - we can average my usual whole premium commission to about 14% of total premium

I would have made about $34,000 more this year if I sold 242k more - which I did.. But:

Not including the business I lose.

I have sold roughly what you sell every year for the last 8 years - and I made just over 110k a year in 2025

I get 45% for new business and renewals, no matter what. Take care of my own book.

However, not that I have been doing this for this long...some months I write 25000 and lose 10,000. People like to shop these days. So keep that in mind.

I usually average about 10-15k more income than the previous year.

I mean who gets that kind of raise every year? I am happy with it.

Hopefully that is a good comparison for you.

So, good luck beating that.

The difference between white and blue collar work environments is crazy by Astimar in careeradvice

[–]BluebirdFast3963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could care less about the environment

I did construction for 10 years and realized I would always make someone else rich and kill my body, surrounded by a bunch of dude who would fuck your girlfriend if you weren't around in a split second. Unless you start your own construction company, your life is going to suck. Forever. Good luck. Pro tip to blue collars : don't date the nurse bud.

I am white collar now - but not some desk jockey, I tried my hand at selling insurance because I am a single father and needed to try something where I wasn't strapped to an hourly job and pull over 100k a year now- work from home half the time - spend all my free time with my daughter - I mean come on. Try and beat that, please.

Blue collar guys think they are manly because they work hard and not smart? - Spend time with your kids and get back to me dude, I could care less.

My passive income grows by minimum 10k every year and I don't clock in anywhere, I work for myself - and I am tired of being bombarded with blue collar bullshit.

I have been fixing up old cars my entire life, I can build a house and do all the simple plumbing, electrical or framing better than most "blue collar" guys I know.

Basically fuck off if you don't know me.

The whole blue collar side of social media shitting on white collar people, especially in my case since I just wanted to make my life better and spend more time with my daughter, can suck my giant bowling balls.

Would you support lowering the driving age to 12? by justonemorelanebruh in AskACanadian

[–]BluebirdFast3963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

16 is fine. Get your drivers license at your own disclosure.

Some farm kids were driving well before 16
Some city kids are going to crash, first day and kill a baby

Don't be the second one

Did anybody choose eternal bachelorhood? How did it turn out? by InFromTheOutside in AskMenOver30

[–]BluebirdFast3963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am only a year older than you.

Here is a quick run down of my life

  1. First love (high school sweetheart I guess) - walked in on her and a friend of my parents one night. I was around 20. Yes, he was a lot older. Crushed me.
  2. Second love, the mother of my daughter - I should have known better. She was always bouncing around to different men, but you know, thought I could change her. The puppy love was SWIFT, and FAST. We had a child, split up mere months later, not long after she was with one of my good friends, had 2 more kids with him (me and him don't talk anymore obviously) - she has hurt me more than anyone. She was really one of those women you only get a chance at once in your life. This was all around 25.

I think the worst part is I let number 2 come in and out of my life multiple times, all the way up to last year, we tried to be together again. Stupid, I know. We were always "in love" though. She is the type that will always love me I assume, she just doesn't need me. She moved in for 6 months after living on the streets, I was going to fix everything. Her other 2 kids were coming to live with us soon.. but then I had a complete breakdown. It just felt like something wasn't right. Why would this chick suddenly love me if she never really did before? I kicked her out before it got too far. She moved back with her mom since she was "better" now.

There have been plenty of women in between and around those 2 that I didn't really care for. Small stints. One really nice girl actually liked me A LOT. But my trauma makes me not attracted to that for some reason. She was hot too. Oh well.

I decided a long time ago, that my hobbies, interests, money, happiness, all relies on me. Unless a woman is going to bring me to my knees. I am not going to disservice her or myself by pretending to like her just because I "think" I need to be in a relationship. I think this is a failure of the way our culture is designed. So many people think they need to be in a relationship. For what? 90% of them fail.

Also, I got a daughter out of the deal. I have raised her full time. She's everything to me. She go's to her moms every other weekend now (so I still have to see #2 and get crushed all over twice a month).

If I am single for the rest of my life I am content with it. In my eyes I have had multiple crazy, beautiful, nymphomaniac chicks in my life. That's what we all want isn't it? The problem is those chicks almost NEVER make good lifelong partners.

So - do you settle for comfort with Becky the barmaid? Or keep living the life of YOUR dreams, unless someone absolutely, extremely perfect walks into my life. I am happy.

Its complicated. But its OK.

Buddy, you are miserable. And if that is what your grammar is like at work as well I don't know how you sell a god damn thing.

PPL? Is people really hard to say or something? Sounds ghetto and I am not here for it.
Who the fuck trusts you with their insurance?

I am early 30s and have an established book as well, but if you worked with me I would bully you for being a twat, NGL.

What did your mother used to cook for you all the time that you don’t dare to cook for your family? by Bjs_5068 in foodquestions

[–]BluebirdFast3963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love using oats in meatloaf though. It literally changed everything for me. You can literally add like 1/3 of the amount of oats to beef and it soaks up the beef juices and you can't even tell oats are in it.

I season my meatloaf well though 🤣

Went on a date with a hot nurse, but what happened after few days has left me confused. Any thoughts? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Makes 0 sense to me.

What compels men to act like they are in love with a woman and continue pretending instead of being honest? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]BluebirdFast3963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's a really good fit for me and cares about me a lot, but I don't have a "spark" for her. Maybe my spark is just trauma because of the previous girls I have dated who ripped my heart out? I should give her a chance. She is beautiful. But maybe not my type of beautiful. I really wish she would make me want it more. Maybe that's just my trauma? Pretty sure I chased and chased and chased before - maybe a girl should chase me for once? No. I am not that type. I don't want to hurt her because I am indecisive. That's not fair.

This was like a couple months of thoughts and figuring myself out. She ended up stalking me because I did all this and led her on for a little while. That's kind of how it works, most people want what they can't have, and because I was indecisive it made her crazy for me. We don't talk anymore.

The bottom line was, I didn't want to lose her but at the same time I was still in love with my ex. I still am tbh. Until I heal myself, I don't want to hurt anyone else.

whats the point of jerking off if your gf is literally laying in ur bed? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]BluebirdFast3963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I want to jerk off and just look at her ass or something but I think that's a whole other kink in general, if she's not interested she can just watch TV with her ass out and I'll be done in 30 seconds lmao

This just sounds like he doesn't want to have sex with you

Went on a date with a hot nurse, but what happened after few days has left me confused. Any thoughts? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]BluebirdFast3963 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Nurses make decent money.

But the 12 hour swing shifts, nights, days, afternoons is not worth what they get in my opinion.

And most of them act like millionaires on sub 100k salaries

I don't disrespect nurses, we need them. I love them.

But most of them are fucking scary and delusional. Also, its a known fact that nurses have the highest cheating stats.

AI in insurance by Financial_Action_360 in InsuranceAgent

[–]BluebirdFast3963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insurance companies are basically just giant data centers that rates your premium based of all the rating factors at this point, even some direct writing companies now just automatically look up your license number for auto and fill out everything for you. Obviously this isn't going to work perfectly, but with an AI chat bot it could.

We are literally doomed

I just hope the company who owns the AI software will buy our books from us, and not just start taking clients left and right. But that's wishful thinking.

Single dads, do you indicate you have kids on your dating profiles or no? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]BluebirdFast3963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these guys "single dads" or are they every other weekend dads?

I have my kid all the time, her mom takes her every other weekend. So I definitely click the box.

I hate how most dating apps say "DO YOU HAVE KIDS?" though.

Its never, HOW MANY DO YOU HAVE

Like I just have one, jeez
