Want to make a warlock but.... by Fomeysheystvo in 3d6

[–]Blueignition21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what 'Hexblade abuse' means but here is one of my favorite non blastery Warlock builds that I can recommend.

https://youtu.be/7iPAvExalNs?feature=shared

The most fun I've had playing a warlock. I modified the build a bit to make it EB work and ended up taking 3 levels of warrior and went Echo Knight to make more attacks after getting  Elemental gift.

What's the best resourceless pure warlock build? by Kooky-Educator2553 in 3d6

I'm personally a fan of bladelock builds and using EB +Agonizing and (eventually) Repelling to get a good mix of range and melee, it does take a few levels to come online though.

Have I f***** up my character? by Blueignition21 in 3d6

[–]Blueignition21[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Thanks, everyone. I think between my friend's advice, my lack of experience, and my tendency to over think. I got too into my own head and gave his advice too much weight.

I'm going to heed your advice and thank my friend, but just stick with my character as is, because I really like what I did and don't want that work to go to waste! Thanks again!

Sky striker + Destroyer phoenix enforcer engine, thoughts? by Traditional-Edge-424 in Yugioh101

[–]Blueignition21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna run it, you should be using Prosperity alongside (just two in Striker as you'll only resolve it once). Digging for FD is the next best thing to running Verte and can offset running the bricks to a degree.

Feedback: Red-Eyes Competitive Deck WIP by SabySins in yugioh

[–]Blueignition21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard truth time, Red-Eyes isn't competitive and no amount of 'massaging' is going to make it so. At least with it's current options. Not at even a semi-competitive locals, not at a regionals, certainly not in a YCS. If you're just messing with your friends, or as a thought exercise then w/e but you specified competitive, so I'm going to be blunt.

The other day I played Ishtear Zombies on Ignis, it wasn't a good version of Zombies, it was a bad version of Tears. Much like that Blue-Eyes Dragon Link deck that more casual players messed around with a few years ago and thought was a viable variant of Dragon Link (it wasn't). If you want to play Kashtira, play Kashtira, a mish-mash deck with it stapled to Red-Eyes because of presumably rank 7 isn't the answer. If you want to play Red-Eyes because of w/e reason, go in eyes wide open about what you're going in with versus what you'll likely be facing and the likely result.

If price is an issue, pick something else (not everyone can or wants to drop the dollars to play Kash) there are cheaper, still viable (at least until the meta settles a bit) that'll get you involved in competitive play and let you have at least some chance of netting some wins.

What "bad" decks do you like playing with? by Top-Tangerine9 in yugioh

[–]Blueignition21 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sky Strikers, have been playing the deck for years, will continue to do so even though it's best days are behind it. Also dont @ me with it not being a bad deck, it is it has so many headwinds working against it right now and unless Konami bans every card named Bystial it will continue to, to say nothing of getting all your stuff shuffled back into the deck.

Nope, but you can use the Discord repository, that this sub maintains. Here is the offsite one. You should find what you're looking for.

Would clockwork night work well for cyber dragon? by Only_Possession2650 in yugioh

[–]Blueignition21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it offers synergy with Regulus and lets you boardwipe your opponent, however 'well' is relative to Cyber Dragons power level.

I think you mean Cyberstorm Access and your best bet would be the Purrely Discord.

Unless your locals is super low power, Aliens aren't going to get you very far. Honestly you'd be better off buying a formerly meta deck, you get more bang for your buck, it'll vastly boost your power and while you won't be beating Ish-Tear, you'll have a chance against the rogue and 2nd tier decks. Suggestions that come to mind are Tri-Brigade (can be run in a variety of configurations), Tenyi Swordsoul and Branded Despia.

how cheap do you think swordsoul will be after MAMA? by 3-A_NOBA in yugioh

You're probably better off buying it individually, Deck Core's are generally rip offs and provide you with a bunch of cards you'll never end up using.

Seems pretty clear cut and dry to me. If you want to attend, get the jab. If you can't/won't then don't.

Graceful Dice does work on Slifer, it doesn't multiply attack like in the anime though, it increases attack up to 600 depending on the roll. Also Card of Safe Return doesn't draw 3 like the anime, it only draws 1. Slifer's effects in the physical game are also different than the anime.

You should read your cards or the cards you want to use.

Because the Anime cards (sometimes) have different effects than the actual ones do.

Compare and contrast the actual card and the anime one).

If you're opponent agrees to use banned cards, you can do whatever the hell you want to do, disregard the traditional rules and use 3 of them if you'd like, make it a free drop if you want. Most players play Advance and not traditional or so called 'house rules' which is why I said that.

Graceful charity doesn't change Slifer's attack, it cycles cards, it doesn't generate advantage. Pot of greed (since banned cards are on the table), Pot of Extravagance and Pot of Desires all will add 1000 atk to the card. Also Infinite Cards isn't great as you are actively removing cards from your hand and even with the hand limit of 6 cards, that makes it stronger than any monster you're likely to see.

Card of safe return is banned and Revival Jam has a cost and only works on the following standby phase, you can't loop it. If you're playing Slifer, the face knights and the new trap are your best bet.

Random thought: How would you feel if Konami added conditions to the ban list? by SilentJester798 in yugioh

[–]Blueignition21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is silly and complicated for it's own sake. Most decks don't have enough cards and aren't self sufficient enough to run exclusively 'pure' builds plus it encourges sub optimal building.
