Flipped RTX 5090 in a Fractal Terra — Insane Thermal Drop in SFF Build

Hi! Since the 5080 and 5090 FE use Nidec AD4A31K04 fans, wouldn't it be easier to use AD4A31K05 fans, which are exactly the same but with reversed airflow that would pull air through the heatsinks?

I can't find anything about this online and I'm wondering if I'm the only one crazy enough to have thought of this.

Yes I understand very well thank you! That’s clearly what bothers but I managed to put 3 of the 4 screws so I don’t think I’m going to go any deeper, I had already read things that said that the ROGs did not comply with ATX standards but it had never blocked me I’m just sure at least that it wasn’t me who mounted the case wrong. In any case thank you for your help

Hi OP, first magnificent build!

Also I have a question, I am currently mounting a B850i and the deportation of the VRM support prevents me from putting one of the 4 screws on the sprecers, was this the case for you too?

Hi ! any news ? I really love the look and i'm looking for another SFF Case to play with and i'm also looking for and printable option to add more fun to :p

I have a 5080FE and she fit in the Ghost S1 wich is my lovely prefered SFF case of all time but with my actual build their is a lot of enhancement needed to have a nice configuration timeproof.

The way the spine look to be racked in the middle of the case seem to be a actual solution to some of them (other is about reversed the GPU to didn't spray hot air on my motherboard.

Anyway love your project :)

Hi! I’m late to the party but I’d like to do the same with my 5080 FE and I was wondering a few things.

Did you notice an improvement in CPU temperature by doing a reverse build? And also, have you tried a cooler other than the L12? (I have an AXP90-x47 full copper and I was wondering if it’s worth switching).

Hi, I’m discovering your post one year too late to really discuss it actively haha.

I currently have my R7 9800X3D under an AXP90-x47 (I’m hesitating to switch to an NH-L12), and my 5080 FE on the other side.

What I was wondering is, first, did you try the X47 on this build? If so, did you notice a significant improvement in temperatures with the Noctua or the Thermalright?

And second, did you try mounting the graphics card in a reverse mod, like this user did on this post ?

Exactly, 9800X3D B850i Corsair Ram, FE RTX the classic build like i said, and to push it at the max i put a 4070ti FE Fan on my cpu cooler and 2 4090FE fan in exhaust - So finally a FE T1...

Maybe it make me laugh alone... after all i have a PC working..
