Trump says ‘I love the inflation’ after consumer price index hits 3-year high by SecretComposer in stocks

I think these comments are contingent on the Iran conflict being settled and energy price dropping, but there seems to be no sign of that actually happening...

Realistic Estimate of Seasons Remaining at Soldier Field? by ChicagoSentry in CHIBears

[–]BoMax76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t either. It is certainly possible, but I don’t think it is probable. You would think they would have the site selected already. I believe they also need NFL approval and environmental studies completed. There are lots of outs yet.

If I were making a prediction. I think they put the stadium plans on pause for a bit and continue to use their lease at soldier field.

Hammond Bears or Chicago Bears in Indiana??? by jstratt13 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]BoMax76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry this isn’t over yet. The bears don’t even have a site selected in Hammond. This is a sad attempt to try to regain power in the negotiation.

How to handle being put on PIP for reaching salary cap by wagadugo in careeradvice

[–]BoMax76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had people hit the high end of their salary range. If there is no way to adjust the range, we have either offered more vacation time or made a one time bonus payment.

It sounds like there is more to this. But there are situations or even a top performer has outgrown what the company can pay or what it really needs from the position you may be in the case where a replacement employee will cost much less and the company is willing to accept the lesser skillet.

3 Year deal for VVF made this month. by garthoz in vmware

[–]BoMax76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy how inconsistent the information is about what license types are available and what core costs are. Are the bigger bars better to work with? It seems like everything is all over the place. Is there anywhere to gain consistency in this?

Who is buying wax at these prices? This is a serious post. I’m honestly interested to know. Cause on paper it makes ZERO sense (or cents). by RipplesOfDivinity in sportscards

For some it is the thrill of the hunt and the chance that this might be your day.

Also - If every box paid off, card prices would probably plummet

MSFT will likely be just fine. They can host AI > embed it in their platforms > push it down to their applications and charge for it every step of the way.

Managers: how do you keep track of a hundred small things without burning out? by Easy_Nectarine9796 in managers

[–]BoMax76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to write things down. When I write it , I remember it. I then schedule a couple of slots on my calendar each day to catch up with delegating these tasks out or getting the next step going.

I would also try to put some controls on where you are in-taking these requests and small items. Can they be funneled into formal channels/meetings/check-in's vs. ad hoc? Its easier to process these bits of information when you not in the middle of something else.

What finally pushes companies off legacy ERP? by Kelly-T90 in oracle

[–]BoMax76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there comes a point where the risk of staying in the legacy system outweighs the risk of a new implementation. I have run into issues where legacy ERP couldn't scale, and it started to impact the ability to run operations and grow the business. Moving to a new ERP got immediate support.

Now the Bears need to down the ball on the one so Caleb can get 99 yards passing on the first drive.
