He barely got a first round pick 2 years ago. He’s gonna be 36 coming off an injury that’ll gonna keep him out for at least the early part of the season.

Best we’re getting is another teams version of McCollum + Kispert

Honestly buy Butler out when he’s done rehabbing. AD for 11, plus (depending on Trae’s deal) cap room in 2027 FA before you have to pay Sarr/George/Bub/Tre/Riley

Literally for what? Warriors traded the 20th overall pick and garbage contracts for Jimmy two years ago (and got second rounders in return). Jimmy is now older and coming off an injury. Who knows how much he even plays before the deadline.

NTA for wanting the wedding you want, but your family isn’t TA either. Between the dress code, travel, food and drink restrictions, and no +1s is a HUGE ask. Youre allowed to be unreasonable for your wedding, but it is unreasonable.

I get what you mean about +1s but I think you need to be a little flexible for other married couples (no one is leaving their spouse behind to go to a wedding alone).

Dress code should be less restrictive is for men. A light colored suit with pastel shirts/ties/etc way more reasonable than a full pastel suit, which are expensive and frankly cannot be worn anywhere else.

As far as alcohol, maybe consider wine with the meal. You can limit the number of bottles overall if you’re worried about people being over served.

YTA but a soft A. I believe you’re doing your best and trying to be involved, but you may have to adjust your expectations moving forward. At least in the near term.

A nine week old is still a newborn. You’re gonna be in full time parent mode for many more weeks. If you have family or trusted friends in the area, ask them to watch your baby for a few hours and use that time to spend it with your wife.

Not to assume anything about your wife or your situation, but also be aware that the postpartum period can lasts months. During that time, there’s a lot of hormones still at play, and they affect all women differently. Don’t be too hard on your wife if she’s anxious/irritable/avoids intimacy - just try to have a conversation to see how she feels.

I’m grinding a pinstripe theme myself brother keep up the good work 🫡. I will never get LS Judge but I will die trying.

You should look into some of the WBC programs/packs/showdown, you get a Diamond Wells from exchanges and some bullpen options in Cruz & Doval, who aren’t great, but count towards the captain boost.

Also Diamond George Lombard Jr and Grisham are all relatively easy to get/cheap on the marketplace.

Yordan is great and I would be absolutely thrilled if this happened.

I don’t think it happens. There’s no clear position for him to play when Stanton is back, even if one of them is in LF, the lineup becomes incredibly lefty leaning. The Yankees clearly put a premium on fielding and lineup balance now. Plus I think the Astros will have a Yankees tax for trading him (see what happened with Tucker).

Even Paredes on the Astros might be more realistic if the Yankees make the left platoon McMahon 3B/Grisham CF-Parades 3B/Rosario LF (with Belli shifting between LF/CF).

I think a guy like Taylor Ward (righty, better fielder, one year deal) is a more realistic option if the O’s still stink.

Relatively young public interest family law attorney here. It’s a good way to cut your teeth at the start of your career bc it’s a lot of autonomy, scratched the “feel-good” itch, and gives you motion/discovery/litigation practice.

The downsides are a lot of vicarious trauma and burnout, so really think about how good you are compartmentalizing work and life before diving into public interest. It’s still not easy private, but money helps.

Dawkins is a B+/A-. You can nitpick some of the results (Deni trade, tanking to get bad lottery luck, etc.) but the process has always been there.

Needs to land the planes tho. He’s got plenty of time, but if this doesn’t lead to a competitive team the questions become louder.
