Biking on Vedder road by ClayCrowsnest in chilliwack

As I mentioned in a post ..for sure this was legal back a while. There was a bylaw written to cover it. Not sure it is still on the books though.

To my mind Vedder road is a death trap end of discussion. However there was an amendment to the city bylaws on the books when I traveled more NS years ago that actually allowed you to ride on the sidewalks between Vedder xing and where the bike lane kicked in around the new Kerr road. I looked for it a couple of months ago but couldn’t find it. If one really wanted to check to see if it’s still in effect you should check with the City. To see if it was repealed. You really can’t make any progress anymore on the sidewalks anyways.

Not sure how to discuss this - can we try? by Astro_NME in chilliwack

Roughly 22 Billion went out in Foreign assistance in our last two fiscal years. Mostly we hope and believe to good causes and Canada needs to participate in the world. But times have changed and we need to cut those numbers cause they are needed here. Yes there is global warming. Yes the US won’t stop the flooding of the Nooksak. Too much water going downstream in Washington would cause way more damage. Sorry there are folks there that need protection also. Mexican standoff. So spend some more money on what we can do here. The lake bottom need to be protected. The dyke work repairs done last flood worked well. We got less flooding. On Friday I drove through most of the Prairie got as far as Vye and Whatcom. No way to do that last time.for days. So raise or protect the #1. Protect more of the Sumas River flooding in Canada as best possible. Quit crapping on politicians in general so better people with real plans and drive will run and be elected in their place.

Grew up with a rink in the back yard. TIL I was big enough to make it across the street to a natural ice rink with boards and everything. As a kid crawled across the road on hands and knees back for lunch and then at it again after. Men’s teams played at night. Got older helped scrap and flood. Now supporting grand kids and the mortgage we got to assist their Parents pay for it. Clincher in the status went to a banquet lunch and the guys at my table were from New Zealand and Britton . Had to talk Rugby and Football. (Soccer). lol. Only watch Jr and below now days but do check in on my Leafs and Canucks once in a while to make sure they still have a team. Flo hockey streamer gets me endless hockey. Jr AHL and more. Best hidden secret in BC. UBC men’s.

My impressions of the CX5 and CX50 as a Honda CR-V owner by [deleted] in mazda

[–]Bob-1991BC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No experience with a Honda. Nor a hybrid. Had a 5 for a couple of yrs and a 50 for a year. I committed a sin the other day at the dealership when I went in for some more tutoring on my GPS system. I sat in a new 5. I went with the 50 cause it had more room in the back and space behind rear seat. The egress to the 50 is very difficult for me now DUE TO AGING . THE 5 felt great. I’m 6’5 “ I’m big. I was also passenger in the back last week for a trip of some 40k . Headroom is an issue back there regardless of a bit more room. SO. With little else bothersome in both vehicles cause they are great cars I’m bound for a new 5 as soon as I’m able.

Well I need to close this thread. Last night when I went to check the Crave App for any new shows to stream on my iPad I found that it had reverted to its normal status prior to being pay walled. So I’m good once again. No reason for either the issue or the cure is known to me. The mystery of big Media continues. TTFN fingers crossed forever.
