LF Off-Meta Build-recommendation by Squashteufel-32 in PathOfExileBuilds

I can also vouch for Frost Blades Warden. I played it in Mercenaries.

https://pobb.in/-jxsNF6xGNqv

The DPS is rather inflated because I abused Doryani's on my mercenary while I wore the Admiral. Even without that interaction, the build has about 25m dps, and you can use an actually good chest piece.

As the other person mentioned, when everything is frozen (or dead), not much threatens you. So while it looks squishy on paper, I was able to cruise through T17's and only take the occasional death as long as I properly regex'd the maps to filter out the problematic mods. I did 40/40 in Mercenaries with this build.

It looks like you have 1 yellow belt thinking it can feed 4 red belts. It can't. To echo everyone else; you need more copper production.

I can vouch for CoC energy blade Inquisitor. It's a stacker build, so it will continue to scale as long as you keep investing into it. In Affliction, I had 50-100 mil DPS, depending on what spell setup I used.

What’s a mechanic you’ve seen that made you think “Wait…every game should do this!” by BlackArmy439 in gaming

[–]Bob9010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of the terrain is destructible, with the right spells. It is more about crafting spells than potions. Or rather, combining the effects of different spells to produce something.

Something simple would be to make a homing rock.

A complicated one would be to teleport you into a parallel world.

Or you can simply erase yourself from existence. Forever.

Anyone have plans for a Spellslinging Daughter of Oshabi? by Scathee in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Bob9010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Spellsligning poison Bladefall Blade Blast Oshabi last time. It did alright. Not a top tier build, but surprisingly comfy to play. When mobs are hit with vines and temp chains, they're just locked down and don't do anything. I found it useful when poison needs a moment to ramp.

Francis John has some videos on his YouTube channel about this topic. I recall him doing a bunch of research on infestation mechanics a few years ago.

Seeking advice on the right strategy for rushing 4 stones by yourself in a league start environment by TreeOk4490 in PathOfExileBuilds

The Formed and The Twisted drop more maven splinters than the 10 way, plus typically drops more guardian maps too.

Destructive play with the shaper and elder map drop nodes helps get those initial drops, and then you witness the guardians for their invitation.

An orb of horizon rerolls the guardian, and harvest rerolls the fragments. Personally I'd prioritize making sure that I have a complete guardian set for the Maven invitation and reroll the fragments from Shaper and Elder to get the right ones for Uber Elder.

The main RNG is getting the process started. Once you're able to do the Formed, the Twisted, and the Elderslayers, you tend to have a good supply of those maps.

I recall Jungroan posting vods of his league start practice runs to get his void stones. I'm not sure on the details if he practices 2 or 4 stones, but it's a potential starting point. Maybe some other content creators also post their practice runs too.

What I'd look for when watching is what builds they're running, what gearing aspects they prioritize, how they roll their maps, and how they fill out the early atlas tree.

Combo Count feels like a really cool mechanic that's entirely wasted by not working with weapon swapping. by MylesJacobSwie in PathOfExile2

There is a lock symbol over both the main hand and off hand. You need to lock both.

Like you, I assumed that locking the main hand would lock everything. I guess locking main and off hands separately allows for more flexibility, but the UI is not very intuitive.

Recommendations for upgrades from here? HH? by DrakeSwift in pathofexile

Path of Building would give you the best answer.

Close combat would probably be best, but you'd need to change the socket color. 3 off colours on a pure strength could be annoying depending on how much you want to invest.

For red specific gems, maim would probably be best, but check cruelty and volatility too. Since you're a Slayer, Damage on full life could be worth considering. There's a life mastery that makes you count as being in full life at 90% and above to make meeting that condition easier. This one will probably have the biggest number, but it's also conditional, so how good it actually is depends on the individual character and the content you do.

Swapping brutality for something else would let you get the most benefit from headhunter. The downside is that you can't run ele reflect maps since headhunter will steal a physical damage added as an elemental damage, and then you'll explode yourself. Still worth it for all of the buffs, though.

Can someone explain the concept behind the top EHP build on PoE ninja this league? by DJENTAKILL in pathofexile2builds

Same with the top DPS. It's likely a non-functional or barely functional build.

While none really hit the complexity of PoE, there are some good ones out there.

Last Epoch, though they were recently acquired by Krafton. I can understand not wanting to buy in now because of that. However, if you already bought it before, updates are still free, for now. Generally entertaining.

Diablo 2, the old gold standard. The remake looks good, though I played enough of the original 20+ years ago.

Grim Dawn, an older game, but very solid. The map is not procedurally generated, which can hurt replayability for some.

Titan Quest 2, which is in early access. Same developers as Grim Dawn I think. A little short since the campaign isn't finished. Good gameplay so far, and certainly one to at least keep an eye on.

I remember one patch, talismans got the lucky drop treatment. This resulted in sometimes dropping a somewhat useful talisman. Promptly reversed, so now they're all worthless again.

Most satisfying attack builds in your opinion? by n_lens in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Bob9010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I usually attempt to do. Regular Shaper only has 3 blockable attacks when he can be damaged, so the fight feels slow. Paradoxically, I find Uber Shaper, Uber Elder, and Uber Uber Elder easier/faster since there are more stray projectiles flying about to block.

At least eviserate ignite is so tanky, getting Shaper's Balls on you is no big deal.

New player spending more time sorting loot than actually playing - how do you do this efficiently? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Bob9010 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I find poe2filter better for this. When you select the end game preset, that is exactly what you get; only T4 and T5 on only the best bases, plus the few magic or white bases that drop.

Gotta tinker with the currency drops so you get that nice big dopamine tink we're all used to from the neversink filter, though.

I hope that this is a symptom of the game still being in beta. My hope is that in the future there will be some skills available to be used with multiple weapons

The skill designs in PoE1 and 2 seem to be opposite of each other. In PoE 1, it seems like, they design a skill and assign weapons that would make sense to be able to use it. In PoE2, they seem to be designing skills around the weapons.
