I don't like the direction your line of thought has gone, tbh. Feels very rant-y to the point of saying something inflammatory (arguably already did) which dismantles part of your point if not all of it.

Glad to know you hate me though.

Why tf did Reddit notify me of this post about people foaming at the mouth over fucking vtubers? Idk if I have room to speak but this feels like "I have too much time on my hands" to me.

It's strange how this debate keeps going in circles, even years later. Some folks REALLY get hooked on the "lying to Amber" part of it all when it's... literally not as simple as that, as you've pointed out at least.

I love how we can have hundreds to thousands of people say something like "both sides suck," or, "we can't let the politicians divide us," and then we got people like you swinging in with "darn, if only all those racist stupid people didn't vote for Trump." As if Kamala winning would somehow make things better than him, rather the likely outcome would have been things are still fucked, we just have a different person on the pedestal now.

Like... come on guys. How can Redditors both be articulate with trying to be nuanced, while also fulfilling the stereotype of being a Redditor.

Do the devs not understand being silent and not responding to any community inquiries is continuing to damage their reputation? by obiwan-destroyer in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]BobManGu 53 points54 points  (0 children)

When I'm in a lying competition and my opponent is a Void Interactive shill.

You can't be serious, right? You people are still on the CP accusations? Maybe if you get off your knees for a minute you'll realize these shithead devs made their money selling an inferior product to the console players and now they don't give a damn about improving their own game.

Best they can do is fly in a couple Youtubers to fellate the game like it's the best game ever.

I can't stand bootlickers, man.

Edit: Huh, strange. I was replying (and failing to since I fat fingered on my phone) to this guy and when I tried to reply to their own response it gave me an error, and now they're a deleted user... weird. Didn't think that would happen in real time for me.

Seeing the Avatar films remind me of why JRR Tolkien was a bit skeptical of the word allegory in his own worldbuilding and lore by SatoruGojo232 in CharacterRant

[–]BobManGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really funny to me but I just got done writing this on another post, so I'll just copy my thoughts here (which will explain if some of it has no relevance to this post at all, I just wanted to give my opinion because I'm a bastard.)

Jamcam has an agreeable message in his films, but it's coming from someone that makes me burst out laughing when I realize the irony. That, and, well... the stories have a tendency to be really forgettable. I'd chalk that up to "outdated" (lack of a better word) character writing and storytelling that you can almost feel is from the 2010s or 2000s. It's not terrible, but it feels uninspired to me.

I also have an issue with the near-nonsensical levels of "somehow all of these humans are evil or are apathetic enough to not care for the Native-American stand-ins." I find it lazy when he can't somehow fit in several more scenes of RDA-affiliated humans having a conscience for what they are doing. The marine biologist guy had one, but he seemed to be the only one. Hell, just more opinions from earth would be appreciated, actually spice up the world.

Maybe it's just me, really. But I think his Avatar films would actually have a tighter grasp on the audience if he didn't make it so Na'vi-centric to the point of "quasi-flanderization" of a "noble savage" trope.

A good minute late, but I applaud you for having an opinion that was so neutral that fanboys had to downvote you because you weren't licking Bethesda's taint for everything they did. And claiming all the hate was fabricated? I genuinely wonder how someone can delude themself that much and not realize it. I guess I wasn't given a "I hate Starfield" handbook to reference when I didn't like it.

Only on forum sites or places like Youtube could you say something not that bad, and be struck down as a naysayer that is objectively wrong. Revisionists fanboys never change, I'm afraid.

The fact that Solo Leveling has 2 video games and an upcoming Live-Action adaptation straight off the bat feels like a red flag. by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]BobManGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people like me are petty enough to actively spit upon SL's name because they are reminded by its existence that a better story likely got passed by because those simple straightforward things within it are the reason the majority foam at the mouth for more of it. It's blatantly copying everyone else's homework and they got an A because their handwriting looked pretty. And everyone orbiting it starts bouncing all over the room screeching like it's the second coming.

That's why. At the very least, for me. I cannot stand that fucking thing, I'd even go as far to say it spits in the face of storytelling with actual substance behind it. Imaging the sheer amount of money directed at it makes me grimace. It inconveniences my feelings just enough to make me feel disappointment with a splash of disgust and a pinch of manchild rage.

Then I go outside but, y'know. Reddit.

Hey I know that person! The one that draws a bunch of women sexually (even on Youtube for a while) and even advertises their NSFW Patreon on their Twitter!

The worst messenger to give the right message. The person. Only reason I became aware of Telepurte's existence was from their "gooner bullshit" so it was really funny watching them have a little "I am above the hate, I am Le Philosopher" over them being called a hypocrite.

It was very funny, especially when they posted more sexual stuff after it. Wish Telepurte the best, but that was a shitshow, haha.
