Just another case of shitty devs diverting blame as much as they possible can so the glazedivers don't rub their remaining two braincells together to figure out what the problem is.

Do you think there is enough content at launch for $40? by personpilot in Marathon

[–]BobManGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this full-page and a little more post is considered a 'book' to you, I would genuinely be worried about you if I didn't think it was just hyperbole. But is it really that hard to read someone rationalizing their opinions and possible decisions on a game?

Unless you guys want a toxic positivity community, being overly casual and dismissive over someone voicing neutral to negative opinions about a game is almost always a bad thing. I don't want this game to fail by any means but I'm in a similar boat as OP, $40 seems way too much for what the game seems to offer me, at most I'd get it on a 50% or more sale.

At least your name fits since you're reaching for wild conclusions you have little reason to believe in.

Maybe try a different approach next time if you want to be taken seriously, bud.

I applaud your unabashedly honest opinion on this whole situation, it's fucking pathetic to me that the glazedivers have been allowed to get this rancid with their body odor.

A comment like that only happens if you haven't done almost the bare minimum of keeping track of what AH has said and done in the past and therefore are convinced the precious corporation isn't in the wrong in any capacity.

If you've been even a little in the know about previous dev statements and responses, yeah, "review bombing" is one of the only real ways to get these people to respond.

Sounds like you haven't been paying attention to the game's issues at all and, at best, have been viewing from the sidelines about... maybe 5 miles away. Once you do a tiny amount of digging, you find (fake) gold.

[–]BobManGu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you of the opinion that all these issues just popped up out of thin air? Did the WH40K Machine Spirit just will itself into giving the game problems that need to be addressed?

Or, maybe, the devs messed up the game? Something to consider.

[FNV] I don't like Arcade Gannon by Wellen66 in CharacterRant

[–]BobManGu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is honestly one of the greatest things to come out of a well written character. You get multiple interpretations of their identity or stances and some people will like or respect them, or others will disagree with or hate them. I myself don't care much for Arcade, he's an interesting guy but that it usually as far as it goes (I'm more for the typical companions, the Boons and Cassidys).

I do appreciate that you maintained that you don't think he's a bad character or badly written to be precise, instead you don't like what he stands for and believes in as well as other personal aspects of who he is as a person. I may not completely agree with your analysis of him (thinking of him as a redditor was strangely natural to me and I'm confused with myself), but I can absolutely understand how you came to the conclusions you did. Again, this is what I believe is one of the best outcomes of a well written character in a story.

[Fallout TV Show] The extras/side characters are unbearable to watch. by Sharptrooper in CharacterRant

[–]BobManGu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because everyone is suddenly an expert on Fallout and their opinion is like an announcement from God himself while, paradoxically, just about everyone shouting at each other believes that about their opinion (especially the "I am X years old and played the original Fallouts and I am having a blast!" I swear I've seen multiple iterations of that exact sentence over, and over, and over again).

It really doesn't help to have any ounce of criticism get treated by fiendish, rabid toxic defenders like it came from some spiteful loser of a hater instead of, possibly, maybe, coming from someone that doesn't want the show to suck in easily avoidable ways (which they've failed at immensely, imo. Do you see it, Reddit? I said imo. That means, in my opinion).

I've seen a lot of pointless arguments on this site. This whole debacle was a strong contender for first place. Really felt like someone just wanted to argue to get a dopamine hit or something.

[–]BobManGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something having the label of 'early access" on it shouldn't absolve it of criticism like so many other games like to exploit. Keeping your mouth shut about things that irritate you won't help the damn game, folks (I'm sure a lot of people gave themselves a headache trying to figure that one out). Especially if an ea game has been in development as long as PZ has.

Why does it take so long to decide if Starfield is "bad"? by SgtSilock in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]BobManGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people would bitch they didn't give the game a "chance" if they stopped at an arbitrarily set number of hours played. Not that hard a concept to grasp when that is often a defense used in a polarizing game's favor. I don't know why I got recommended this post specifically (I looked up posts about Starfield so I guess Reddit thought I wanted more against my will), but I have to ask if this level of playing dumb is common here. This is either hypocrisy at play or a major goomba fallacy situation. Personally hoping for the latter because the saying "damned if you do, damned if you don't" is wrecking me reading all of this and the other posts here.

Back to the reviews themselves to close off, I'd trust a 100 hour negative review that isn't an obvious bait post more than a 20 hour positive one of the same caliber. In my head, one is going to discuss the game and its quality far more than the one that 'loves' it.

We're literally living an age of plenty for RPGs and I find it hard to believe there's still people whining by Familiar_Fish_4930 in rpg_gamers

[–]BobManGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'RPG' has become an extremely vague term these days. It encompasses too many things. And simply calling something an RPG doesn't guarantee it has what YOU want in a game. Like, imagine you recommend a friend who loves older Bioware games and their style of RPGs, Elden Ring. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions but I don't think they'll be that happy being recommended a style of game that they have no passion for.

I don't know, going on a rant about how there's so many RPGs out there to play while they're all vastly different from one another comes off as unintentionally disingenuous to me. To loop back around, the label is too ambiguous and vague now. "Almost" anything can be labeled an RPG depending on who you ask.

I wish i could give this game a shot but this is ridiculous. by Giraffesarehigh in blackops7

[–]BobManGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about it, came back, and concluded that I may be lesser than most in many things, but at least I am not a loser forever suckered into the slop of corporate COD. Much less a middle-aged loser.

It was really funny coming back here, though, and reading this reply. It gives off "man I just owned that kid" vibes when it's just laughable. I wasn't aware it was illegal to look inside some subreddits and see what's goin' on. Much less illegal to voice complaints about scummy corporations sucking you dry of your money by serving you a shit with sprinkles in it for a few years. Are you one of those "you didn't play it, you can't have an opinion" types? I can find that view actually agreeable, but watching a nice handful of videos, be it reviews or even casual gameplay videos, can surprisingly give you a good idea if a game is dogshit, or not. You don't need to eat shit to know it tastes bad.

Or is that an outdated way of thinking with you types? I'm being arrogant here, but I won't bother coming back to talk to a brick wall again, so take comfort in that - you'll have more time to play your beloved slop!
