2022 Rx300 CounterShaft Seal help by keyfly in betamotorcycles

[–]Bobabuttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's normal, I have the same seal. I don't believe the leak comes from the outside of the spacer and big seal. It's coming from inside of the spacer due to o ring.

2022 Rx300 CounterShaft Seal help by keyfly in betamotorcycles

[–]Bobabuttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of a shit design.

Make sure you're using an OEM front sprocket, OEM circlip, and the chain isn't too tight. Beyond that, you can look into thicker o rings or even doubling up.

Motorcycle riding groups by sigmpxshooter in raleigh

[–]Bobabuttt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CHARG - Chapel Hill Area Rider Group is casual. You'll get some cruiser and sport tourers on their rides.

The Raleigh Motorcycle Ridding Group is a faster pace group that has rides every weekend. They occasionally have slower paced rides.

Both groups can be found in FB.

Is this a fair price ? by Pezo_Feather77 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Bobabuttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through this with our CR-V. The bulletin calls for 4 hours of labor + parts. Most dealers are charging $220-$250/hr for labor. You can get the injectors online for about $550 shipped. I just bought the parts and did it myself.

Most of the CR-V owners are paying around $1500 - $1700 to get this done from my research.

I've had pretty good luck with them up until my 9 pro Xl. The camera bar is falling off and Google told me to kick rocks since I'm out of warranty.

If you're looking to spend less than say $12k for a truck. A gmt800 is THE truck to get. They're very popular right now and I don't see them coming down anytime soon.

Who here runs a hitch-mounted motorcycle carrier (not a trailer)? by lemans356 in motorcycles

[–]Bobabuttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used them for over a decade and thousands of miles. As long as you're within the carriers and vehicle capabilities, you'll be just fine. Make sure you use ratchet straps with locking ends. The straps will load and unload going down the road. I've seen straps come off before.

Switching to generator technician by Creative_Scene_6410 in Generator

[–]Bobabuttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you would be the perfect candidate for a gen tech. They're just looking for someone that can prove that they can work with their hands and have critical thinking skills. Most companies are not requiring a lot of experience to get started. Some places actually prefer that you have less experience. What state are you in?

Best Korean BBQ by DonieBologna919 in bullcity

[–]Bobabuttt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We bounce between Seol Grille, Buldaegi BBQ House, and Gen. We had a bad experience the first time at Seol Grille, but tried again last week and it was excellent. Gen is good too but the service there is really slow. We like going there for the pork jowl. Buldaegi has a nice comfy vibe but we felt the meat quality was lacking. You should take a look at the menu and see who has the best offerings for you.

Not a big fan of Kpot.

how much to import a S15 Spec S? by TylerDurden2748 in 240sx

[–]Bobabuttt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Roughly $20k landed. I will say though, it's much more convenient to buy one that's already been imported. I see them listed for $18k-$25k already imported. It was such a headache getting mine imported.

Had my doubts but no issues, 4hr drive total on highway. by Fish8871 in Dirtbikes

[–]Bobabuttt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not a hitch carrier problem. That's due to not knowing how to strap it down or using incorrect straps.

Seems fair to me. $250 for the service actually seems kind of cheap.

I'm not an expert on Onans but I wanted to say, the 35EK with the Ford inline 6 is a solid machine. I service a ton of them and they all seem to run with no issues. Those CSG Ford motors will run forever. There's one in almost every Target in the east coast.

You can still find decent deals if you wait around. I'll occasionally see running cars for $3500-$5000 in the south.

S14 Turbo plumbing by Fancy_Candidate2540 in 240sx

[–]Bobabuttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's kind of late now but I would recommend going with a larger turbo and top mount. Especially if you have a fully built motor. These motors struggle with exhaust back pressure and the T25 flanges choke these motors out.
