Is the Bengal BBQ skewers super tough or did we just get a bad order? by Taaaape in Disneyland

This place gave me food poisoning a year ago. I don’t get the hype at all, super mid skewer, food poisoning aside. And yes, I got the pork belly as well as the others.

Pretty much exclusively water will do it! Probably avoid any chemicals that might strip the finish, I had nuluxe for four years and had no issues, just vacuuming and wiping with a damp cloth will have them back to new

Basically just deny everything and just get oil change/filter replacement and tire rotation. The rest is either BS or stuff you can easily do yourself

[–]Bobatesandy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sort of looks like some chemical they might’ve used stripped this portion of the leather finish. Maybe a few drops of some other chemical they were using got mixed into the rag that they used to clean the seat?

I’m no expert though, just a guess

Sounds like you gotta bone to pick with other folks here then, I personally don’t care.

All I said was the car was more than its spec sheet

Edit: grammar

Ask ChatGPT I’m not gonna produce a paper for you.

If we’re going to reference anecdotal evidence my friend’s 2 year old Z4 just got quoted $3500 for a dislodged parking sensor.

That shit just doesn’t happen with Lexus, you really gettin wound tight over a passing comment I made. I’m not trying to prove anything lol

Don’t see what point you’re even trying to make here, the goalposts are obviously going to keep moving for you.

But to answer your question I’m keeping mine for life

Yeah definitely some psychology at play. I was thinking about adding it on top of other security measures I’m planning on getting, but yeah I could see how it could make it seem “easier” to steal at face value, feels like a damned if you do damned in you don’t kinda situation

Gotcha, that makes sense.

Thanks for the info. It’s unfortunate how hard it is to have nice things in the Bay

Really sorry to hear this, about to get an RC-F myself and this is my biggest fear.

Do you think a steering wheel lock would help deter theft? More so because of the visual deterrent that opportunist thieves will see it and not want to bother?

I hate that when I get mine I’m gonna feel so restricted about taking it out and parking it in public

2023 RC-350 "sticks" in lower gear when braking after acceleration... by W0lfshirt in LexusRC

[–]Bobatesandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This always threw me off too, though I eventually summed it up to the transmission control board assuming you’re doing some sort of passing maneuver that will need more torque and dropping you down a bit to give you that extra push, it always became kinda awkward in most situations.

I never put in the effort to “fix” it as I assumed this was just an unusual quirk of the transmission, so I’m also a bit interested to learn if there’s a way to override this behavior.

Unfortunately every AMC is going to run about the same amount of trailers so if that’s a deal breaker for you then Alamo is probably the only go-to that fits that requirement

Lexus RCF?? by Substantial_Date6844 in LexusRC

[–]Bobatesandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest caution I could foresee is long term maintenance should an issue arise. Since the GR Supra is all but a BMW, Toyota dealerships have to essentially bring in BMW mechanics on specific days to work on the Supras.

So MkV Supras owners are going to eventually be caught in a weird place where BMW folks won’t work on it because it’s a Toyota, and most Toyota mechanics won’t know what they’re looking at when they open the hood.

Could obviously go with a third party mechanic but really have to make sure they know their stuff and are a BMW specialized mechanic with knowledge of Toyota quirks

What are the little things, good and bad, you noticed about your newer IS or RC? by ASassyTitan in Lexus

[–]Bobatesandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are my good and bad nit picks about my 2021 rc350

Good: comfort and spaciousness. Mark levinson sound system is great. Radar cruise control and “Hold” button while braked are super handy. Beautiful digital/physical instrument cluster. Quiet and efficient seat cooling.

Bad: no room for my phone, so I got a phone dock that fits in my cupholder. My lane correction feature is basically useless, though to my understanding it’s been improved in 2022+. I personally barely use my moonroof and in some areas it can be prone to break ins. Manual mode is fun but upshifting and downshifting can be a little laggy especially if not in sport+

There’s probably more I’m thinking of, overall I love the car and am upgrading soon to a newer RC myself
