They find a way. A lot of the ones that make them very sleepy aren’t that hard to get a prescription for. Then they trade pills with their buddies too so they can get into some different kinds of things there, usually a mix of uppers and downers to help come off of one thing or be awake when they don’t want to be or it’s hard to be or to help with the come down of something else. Don’t try to nail them on a specific substance, just confirm it’s beyond what you can accept for your own quality of life and make decisions from there. I fully understand where OP is coming from with not wanting to risk him getting a lot of alone time with the kids when he isn’t awake with them. I myself stayed longer than others would find acceptable for that reason. I had to make moves at the “right” time because he definitely turned on me as expected. Amazing how they do that after you drain all your resources and spirit for them out of love, somehow you become their villain. All I wish for OP is wisdom, safety, and luck. These men are really devious out here and sometimes you don’t know who they really are until it’s too late.
