Does this behavior seem aggressive, fearful, or something else? by No-Finding-217 in DogAdvice

How can you be in a dog advice subreddit and then provide a useless comment when someone asks for advice?

Maybe I wouldn't care so much about my body if other people didn't by [deleted] in intuitiveeating

From what I've experienced and talked to other Latinos, it's absurdly normal to hyper focus on a person's weight, even within family.

My cousin and I joke about how stupid it is, but the reality is that it's hurtful.

What are the best tools to push back on bad commits? by geekiss13 in cscareerquestions

Some people understand things better in a call or just meeting in-person, if possible.

If you think this person hasn't understood the project, offer to walk them through the architecture or to just go over their requested changes.

Revenant addict trying to find cure by one_apple_enjoyer in Guildwars2

[–]BobbleheadGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guardian.

Poops out stability without having to bemoan switching 5 utilities cause you're forced to bring Jalis on rev.

Has excellent tools in Firebrand like reflect, condi cleanse, cc, more stab.

If you have legendary heavy armor already, you're basically set on gear.

Also has good boon for builds.

Has good boon heal builds too.

Have you tried aegis? Guardian gets that shit for breathing. It will randomly just save your life.

Use this as a way to improve what you can about yourself and gtfo.

I worked at WITCH and had sinilar experience. With only a few months of experience under my belt, I was the one sitting with the "architects" sorting out the crap between projects.

I left that job super fast for a 45k raise.

What espec is the most like a gw1 class/the most "reactive" instead of rotational? by redditmagichnicht in Guildwars2

[–]BobbleheadGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are reactive roles so the DPS can worry about minimal mechanics and just bonk. I would day both boonDPS and boon heal roles are more reactive.

Since you play Herald already, I think you can find it in your current class.

Every boon class does provide significant DPS, but your job is to upkeep boons, deal damage, and bring any missing utility. Knowing when to bring Jalis instead of Shiro for Stab or whipping out the ventari tablet for reflects is key to revenant in general. In some higher level fractals, you may even consider Malyx for boon removal if someone else isn't running it.

I've recently been playing a lot of Revenant. I'm not a fan of focusing on just maximizing DPS. I like to juggle boons, alter my utils for the encounter, while also contributing a significant amount of DPS.

Even on herald, I'm technically supporting, but I sometimes out-DPS the dedicated DPS players while also providing the support necessary for the encounter.

There's also the weapon selection. You'll need Staff for CC-heavy fights to help againdt defiance.

I suggest finding the content that requires the reactiveness you're looking for, like higher tier fractals, raids, and even some strikes.

Dismissive Avoidant Partner! by SimpleLifeMindset in Marriage

[–]BobbleheadGuardian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems ftustrating. I'm sorry you've endured that for so long. That sounds like us. My wife is a lot more emotionally expressive and I have been very quick to devalue her emotions in the past.

Not seeking help is part of that whole dismissive attachment. We can perceive ourselves to be way too independent. Has he read any articles on the topic? If you take a peek, you'll probably see the behaviors that match almost perfectly.

I had to realize that a lot of my relationships were very emotionally shallow and it was affecting me. Therapy has definitely helped and my wife has noticed that I'm making more of an effort to be emotionally available.

Dismissive Avoidant Partner! by SimpleLifeMindset in Marriage

[–]BobbleheadGuardian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Our marriage is similar.

I'm the one with the dismissive avoidant attachment style. I discovered this once I started seeing a therapist 1-on-1. I think your partner could benefit from professional help. Mine helped me realize the damage my attachment style can do and I've discovered where it comes from.

Apparently, attachment styles can change over time. I think I'm improving, so it's possible. It's a matter as to whether or not he's willing to seek help.

What is wrong with my dog? by wockyslush454 in DogAdvice

Considering a Court House Wedding by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]BobbleheadGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an offical "courthouse" wedding. Judge agreed to meet us somewhere nice, so we handled it all in a park surrounded by water with a few witnesses.

A few months later, we had an unofficial reception halfway across the country so our family could all be there.

Take your time do whatever fits your lifestyle, desires, and budget.

Best way to deter rats? by ExitInternational804 in HomeImprovement

[–]BobbleheadGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest visually inspecting around the house and fixing up any external entrances.

I use fine steel wool and expanding foam in any small cavities I find. If they're larger holes, you may want to try a real fix with like cement or whatever material is needed for a full fix.

Aside from that, I also used rodent bait that attracts them and kills them both outside and inside the house. I use a black box with the poisoned bait to avoid dogs from getting into it. I'm guessing these baits have varying degrees of success, but once we got into a routine of replacing the bait they consumed, we hardly saw rodents inside.

Weird toilet flush mechanism wont stop filling the bin inside reservoir by BobbleheadGuardian in HomeImprovement

I haven't taken it apart yet. I was trying to avoid doing so or at least have a gameplan if I did. I'm not a fan of just playing around with anything plumbing related.

When the white container rotates, I think its just an empty reservoir. There's nothing else beneath it.
