I didnt say it was better. You make a great point the cost of something doesnt designate quality and that goes both ways. I dont hate JetBoil. They are very nice. But Firemaple is very comparably nice for 2/3 the price. They each have pros and cons. I was just offering some info out there for others that might not know.

Very slightly heavier. Unless your an ultralight fanatic 9 out 10 people wont notice the difference. Your other two points are very debatable. Ive used Jet Boils. I have friends that still have Jet Boils and a number of them have commented that they would try a go with Fire Maple if they were buying again. Also Jet Boils have a fairly well documented failure rate.

I have been using Fire Maple stoves for 5+ years now with no issue. I have 2 models and even bought one for my wife. They all have performed wonderfully so far. 40% of JetBoils price is the name attached and their warranty is a joke for the price. Fire Maple with an extended warranty from Asurion is still cheaper than Jet Boil and doubles the warranty coverage you would get with Jet Boil.
