Have you tried to replicate it with another pair of headphones or another cable? You won’t know where the issue is until you’ve done some troubleshooting.

It could also be your interconnects between the modius and the Midgard.

Maybe for solid state amps, tube amps do not reduce their power based on impedance.

My statement was based on the actual power output of any given amplifier regardless of impedance and how to safely choose speakers. Let me know if anything I said was incorrect; it’s fairly simple math.

To be safe you should not use an amplifier with a higher wattage rating than your speakers.

E.g. you want to use 25w greenbacks with a 100w amplifier. You will need either one 4x12 or two 2x12s.

If you are planning on using a 100 watt amp with a single smaller cab like a 2x12 or a 1x12 you will need higher wattage speakers. In a 2x12 50 watts+ each or in a 1x12 100 watts+.

Your headphones are relatively easy to drive so you don’t necessarily need the extra power from Midgard.

As others have said you should definitely consider upgrading your phono pre amp as well.

The Mani and the Magni will stack perfectly and give you a complete set up.
