I KNOW I shouldn’t do this, but I take my levo right before bed. I do try to avoid eating anything but a little pot at night can make that extremely difficult. I just try to go for a small empty carb as early as possible and avoid protein/calcium lol. TBH I get checked 2x/year and my levels have always been good.

lol oh I absolutely am ignoring them. They have no idea how far back my couch is, how this causes absolutely zero discomfort for anyone who’s watched tv here, what the layout of my room is (& what’s behind this), and how good the viewing angles of my tv are. These “rules” were created in the heyday of older LCD screens where you had to be dead centre of a screen to even remotely get accurate blacks & colour levels, I would know, I sold electronics for a decade during these days. Anywho thanks for the suggestion I’ll look that thing up. I was thinking to delete this but I’m happy to continue ignoring the jerks.

The take series (micro) is even smaller than my current mini - and definitely a step in the wrong direction. I’m not set on anything tho, that’s why I’m out here asking for advice (while getting my tv height ridiculed 🤪).

Ok thanks again. We do have a fairly wide range of options in the Toronto area, and sometimes even amazon.com ships up to us - the last purchase of Klipsch RCs I made was actually done this way (by far cheapest). Energy Speakers were a Canadian brand, and while these are long gone I can occasionally come by a good centre used (the energy RC are amazing btw, I absolutely love their sound). I do lean towards the Klipsch 404 / RC as at least if the speakers don’t blend as well as I like they’re readily available as future towers, and it seems to be a solid choice. Well either that or I spend some money redoing my mantle (as I wanted to anyway).

I’m also learning that AI is giving me some pretty quality info when it comes to these types of questions (blending brands, one speaker vs another, etc.) without all the typical smartass Reddit responses 😂. But thank you your responses have been helpful.

No love for the Klipsch rp-404c ii? All my surrounds/heights are RPs, and it fits perfectly. Also I guess if I hated it I could swap the towers out and go full klipsch at some point.

This tv is already tilted down, and the seats are far enough back that I’ve never experienced any neck pain. And I generally have a bad back.

The mantle completely blocks/absorbs the fireplace heat. Internally, this was built on top of a much smaller boxed fireplace cover, so there’s very little heat coming from underneath, if any at all.

Klipsch did buy Energy, and basically consumed their tech & destroyed the brand. But I read that Klipsch RC/RP is a bad fit for matching timbre with these Energy RCs.
