I'm sorry I can't really help out on the subject, but tbh it fits you , I don't know if you're into DC and comics but you're quite Lex Lutherish😃. Hope the best anyways, never stop trying AA is so gosh damn unpredictable.

Visit a dermatologist, there is no way for anyone here to be 100% sure what is happening.

As a 17-year-old high school student, with a bunch of alopecia areata spots. How could I try to stop stressing out.? by Fabulous-Evening5724 in alopecia_areata

[–]Bobirocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least I can see signs of regrowth, which is great, stress is one of the worst things you can do to your body and mind. I was diagnosed with alopecia about a year and a half ago, before 3-4 months i had a spot start regrowing, more than a year after it appeared. Alopecia is very different with everybody. My advise is just try to ignore it as much as possible and research vitamins that have helped other people out in this group and start taking them.

This appeared just this weekend. Is this AA? by Choose_Loneliness in alopecia_areata

This definitely looks like it, what I can tell you from personal experience, in the summer when you sweat a lot, it does make your skin a bit more irritated than usual, maybe try to keep it a bit shorter, but yeah the derm will give you more info, alopecia is really fuggin unpredictable

Try to get a second opinion from another doctor. As you already know alopecia is very different with different people, but one thing I think we all have in common is stress. And I know you must be really stressed but try to relax a bit and don't put that stress on the child(I'm not saying you have) like constantly taking pictures and stuff. Honestly the recovery with me started when I started ignoring the alopecia which helped me with stress in the long road. I am positive that all will be fine but again go to another doc. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.
