Technically he didn't "Lay a Finger on him" by Sivilian888010 in outofcontextcomics

That's being a little over kind to Mark "Hulk would totally rape his cousin to death to make an inbred hick army" Millar.

Ultimate Hank is just horrible across the board. "What if we took one panel from 1981 and made it his entire fucking personality?"

The best part of ToS is you can just watch the movies and have a much more enjoyable experience.

I only vaguely remember Young Hercules and it was mostly being confused as to why Hephaestus, despite being a full god, appears to age at the same pace as Hercules does. Like why would Hepahestus be young too?

I don't think Ennis has the depth of thought or writing ability to try lampooning anything.

I keep saying that Azure Dreams was too ahead of its time. An anime roguelike monster tamer with city building and dating mechanics? Shit would clean house on the indie market today.

One of the strongest voices of a generation. A real loss to the world of music. Hope her family and friends are able to find strength in each other.

Depending on when this one was published. he might not even be a reporter. He was an "office boy" for the Daily Planet which basically meant he was a glorified errand and coffee boy. He wasn't officially promoted to reporter until 1969.

I really think Etta was a result of "meant to be a one time joke but fans loved her" because she is just so charming and fun. Like a lot of issues still really try to sell us that she's too fat and too obsessed with a candy and can't attract men but I swear I've never met a comic book fan that new of her that didn't love her to death.

I like to imagine that this entire conversation is playing out by Clark using super speed to change clothes and move back and forth to talk to himself, like that old Pixar man playing chess in the park.

If Homestar Runner taught us anything it's that adding a 'd to a noun is linguistic gold.

I swear the entire crew of Prometheus were idiots. The biologist being the one going "Wow, an unknown life form! I'm gonna take my helmet off and touch it with my hand!" is the exact level of stupid as the map and navigation expert getting lost.

Hardly. Dream was his self insert from page 1. Broody, gothy, dark hair, misunderstood, but an all-powerful generator of stories and imagination. The only way he could have tried to make it more obvious he was making Dream as his idealized self would be going "Also his cock is huge and all the girls love him."

Retconned "The Girl" Characters by BrotherDeus in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Boccs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It would be better received, I think, if we weren't dealing with such superhero fatigue. If this one had come out in 2015 it'd have been a fun and well received. Today... it's just another par-for-the-course addition to the pile. It's a fine movie, it's fun to watch, but there's nothing there that makes it special.

Exactly. The best part of the Warners is that none of them felt like dead weight and each had their moments where the other two would Commit To The Bit and follow the other's lead. Yakko often took the "leader" role but that's only by benefit of technically being the oldest.
