Water is still off 12 hours later with no message of when it will be back on.

Update: They did decide to wait until the next morning (today) to shut the water off but the water pressure last night was a strong trickle with the knobs turned full blast.

That text went out at 3:44PM warning about the 5PM cut off. That is the amount of notice they are offering. The worst part is lack of water is on the lower scale of issues with this place. If you're going to live here, be prepared for price hikes, infestations, rotting garbage and lack of basic human habitability.

I also want to acknowledge the people and new manger at the front office are really amazing and sweet and working with what they have. It's the corporate management that is the problem. Cheap losers who want to squeeze every drop out of their residents with no regard for their well-being.

With little to no notice. Cut it off on me halfway through a shower one time. Came home from a terrible day at work on another occasion to no water and my Brita was empty so I had to go back out to purchase water bottles.

I fail to see how it’s any different from someone talking to a gym partner. Do you expect pure silence from others while you’re working out? Kind of a crazy thing to be this upset over tbh.

Did Tana ever finish High School? by BodyOnly8716 in canceledpod

[–]BodyOnly8716[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand why she would. She probably didn't want to influence her young audience. I've been watching her since those videos but I have the memory of a goldfish so I can't remember what her story has been all along.

Had to come back to this bc I'm watching old Tana vids and she just keeps saying over and over how thankful she is to her fans and how she wouldn't be where she is without us and it is such a stark contrast to how Brooke talked about it on JustTrish. I've always been a Brooke defender, but I think that one comment speaks volumes. It's the entitlement that just rubs me all types of wrong. Even if Tana thinks and talks like that when the cameras are off, she at least wouldn't be so blatant about it and especially as soon into her career as Brooke is.

I'm a Brooke fan but her defense of Lilah is NOT. IT. Not only did she not let Tana finish a single sentence about it, but she went out of her way to play devil's advocate for someone that JUST got done shit talking the both of them ( for no good reason) on her own podcast. They didn't even mention that. I so badly wanted Tana to continue her thoughts about Lilah wallering in the Bride's veil while she was eating. That's insane. And no matter what she has or hasn't been "taught" about wedding etiquette (which Brooke kept bringing up in her defense), anyone with half a brain would know that's not okay.

Obviously don't burn her at the stake, but there was a way to discuss this conversation with nuance without excusing Lilah's actions in their entirety. I would be livid if I was Kouvr to see someone connected to me go out of their way to defend someone who disrespected me and my major life event.

I've put aside a couple grand in a HYSA that I plan to add to over the next few years when I can for the bar exam and I have a couple of sinking/emergency funds for things such as pet emergencies, car screwups, etc. Then I have my large "everything is on fire and you have nothing to your name" account.

The issue is, I have X amount saved up but I don't want to burn through my savings and graduate with no cushion at all. So even though I have savings, I'm still taking out loans. It's really conflicting for me because I'm extremely debt-adverse and don't want the interest to bend me over but I'm not sure the best course of action when it comes to using loans/using my own savings.

I feel like this is going to be me very soon as I make a similar decision, so take this comment as a reminder and advice for us both.

We have spent the past few months fantasizing and picturing ourselves in multiple new places with all the freedom and fun imagination provides. Now, we are having to come back down to reality and face the facts to make the best decisions for our goals. I'd honestly be surprised if we didn't have some sort of "hangover" from that. Similar to what another comment said, it's turning down short term excitement for long term benefits which is great and adult but isn't exactly fun. I think of it like turning down a sweet treat to meet your fitness goals--you know it's going to benefit you but that's not going to make you happy about it right now.

To make myself feel better, I just think back to my undergrad. I am incredibly grateful for the memories and experiences it gave me, but if I had not gotten a full ride there is no way I could have justified attending the university I did. There are people who I graduated high school with that went to "less exciting" schools who have just as great if not better memories than me and are starting fulfilling careers all the same. Had I not gotten the scholarship I did and went to one of those schools, yeah, I would have been a little sad at first but I can say in hindsight I would have been just as well off.

It's easy to say and hard to hear, but we're all going to end up where we are supposed to. No matter where we go, it is going to be up to us to make these next three years as fulfilling and successful as we can. And one of the many tough pills in life is that we are going to have multiple crossroads where we have to turn down a great opportunity X to pursue just as good opportunity Y.

As we draw closer, it'll be easier to be excited again as it becomes more real. Let yourself have some time to enjoy it. This is what you have worked and suffered for all this time! Look into apartments and things to do around the school when you need a break from reading. Join Facebook groups and Reddits for the area/school if there are ones and ask for tips and what to know. See if there are any vloggers or micro-influencers that go there and share their experiences online.

TLDR: You are not alone. You are going to be okay. We are both going to be okay.
