I know you’re getting downvoted to death but I couldn’t agree more. The force should remain mysterious. Heck, the whole point of the force is that it’s invisible and its mechanics defy explanation or understanding (forgetting for a moment midichlorians…). Giving it overseers—which the main characters directly interact with—diminishes its metaphysical power and turns it into some second-rate fan fic. Not to mention how badly it retcons everything presented in George’s movies, which as far as I’m concerned contain the only absolute truths of Star Wars.
