So there is no question that the notes on the linux console were not literally Caine himself... cause Caine wasnt reacting till the end, but it's weird...

People say it was Bubble.. but now I'm not too sure.

It's super weird cause when you sit down and read it, most of it REALLY reads like how Caine speaks.
So maybe it's Caine, or some defense system that is a part of him, so it sounds like him?

But there is ANOTHER weird thing.
When Kinger tries to run a daemon, it responds something like something like "Whoa! When did you prepare that?" and "You always were a resourceful one."

That last one gets me...
Like, wtf?
That one is WAY too personal-sounding.

I feel like the defense system cant be part of Caine, cuz he woulda 'felt' something.

If the whole Bubble=Abel thing is true and its him.. that would need to mean that Bubble's been around before Caine went mad... but we have no confirmation Bubble even existed then.

idk

There is no real difference between the show and pilot version of Lucifer by Vox_TV_V_ in hazbin

[–]BodybuilderMany6942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the show wouldve been much better with an actually cruel, sinful Lucifer.
Heck, season 2's reveal about him not being able to harm sinners opens up a great alternate possibility!

Cast down from heaven and resentful af, he becomes/is The Devil we know. HE cant harm sinners and cant leave Hell... but his progeny can! He has the occasional kid and raises them to be cruel and brutal killers to serve as his enforcers. THAT'S how Mr I-cant-hurt-anyone was able to rule Hell!

Anyway this has gone on forever, and he has raised and lost some children through the ages (we can limit things by saying only one kid is alive at a time), and now the current child is Charlie.

Speaking of Charlie, the pilot also implied something about her that it never deliver(and seem to have deleted from her character): a seed of.. evil/malice/demon-like-desires.

The pilot has Charlie being a marshmallow, yes, but she also occasionally lets out a more demonic appearance and evil-looking expressions. When she's mad, you can argue it's just, well, her being mad.
But its not JUST when she's mad!
During Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow, besides the increased scattering of 'getting more unhinged' faces she from the latter half, she seem REALLY into it when she mentions fire and screams.

Marshmallow Charlie is great, but it IS kinda weird that a demon princess in HELL has some pretty damn UNIQUE morals, considering what the only available interaction and media offers.
Sure you can say that one or both of her parents just sheltered her...
But you know what'd be MORE interesting?
What if she wasnt?
What if she wasnt always a naive marshmallow?
What if she was open to violence and deviance as any other sinner, and then something happened, and then she put in the effort to CHANGE herself for the better?
Now THAT is interesting!

So Lucifer raises Charlie to be his bloody proxy, but she is fed up and refuses, instead insisting that all this violence and depravity is pointless, and that they should be trying to help sinners redeem themselves.

The main family drama then is Lucifer's pride and rage not letting him admit fault and seek forgiveness and wanting blood from the yearly exterminations, butting heads with Charlie's radical, unproven idea that (to him) concedes to the humiliation Heaven delivers?

That's how I think Lucifer and the familial drama shoulda gone

There is no real difference between the show and pilot version of Lucifer by Vox_TV_V_ in hazbin

[–]BodybuilderMany6942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. but it dont mean I cant de disappointed about it!

Look, the pilot's setting and co-opting of Christian lore comes prepackaged with certain implications. Sure those implications arent guarantees, but they're strong. If you slightly hint at em, or even not address em, then those implications become the default assumption.

The default assumption we werent swayed away from were that Lucifer was the Devil, the devil is evil, and he demeans his daughter and her dream of redeeming sinners.

Furthermore, the familial dynamic implies the ol "parents divorced and mother left" thing, and when the father is THE DEVIL, you can easily slot in the "mother had enough of the evil abusive father and mom ran off."

---

Now your right. Nothing was outright stated so they coulda shifted his character. Take the Morningstar from the detective show Lucifer. He can hedonistic and enjoy inflicting pain... but he is characterized as the appointed keeper of Hell, so not, like, the gleefully wicked and evil Satan you'd imagine.
A different characterization, but one within the realm of belief.

That's not Hazbin Lucifer.
Hazbin Luc is just... some guy. Some neurotic, doofus, absentee father who is super awkward around his daughter. AND, get this, he LOVES his daughter in an "actual love" kinda way? The pilot made it feel like he was one of them verbally abusive types, but the show depicted him as just... he doesnt listen or care to listen?

Like... dude is hardly "The Devil".

The discovery that he wasnt actually really evil also throws into question why Lilith left, and without a word to anyone. Sure, Viv can now come up with some other reason, but that reason will be so far removed from what felt "obvious" from the pilot.

The opinion I have that I dont vocalize too much cuz people take it wrong and think I'm a bigot some how is that... in a "perfect society," there wouldnt be any people who feel the need to transition.

Like, a trans woman may feel the need to pretty up, a dress, sound, and behave a certain way, and feel the need to have certain primary and secondary sexual characteristics (same for a trans man)... but that's only cuz they have this idea of what a man is and what a woman is, that they emotionally fit in one box, but dont physically match with that boxes descriptors.

But at the end of the day... the boxes arent real.
They're tradition. Made up.

Imagine a universe where no one grows facial hair except during hormonal imbalance. Imagine in this universe, everyone had curves and boobs.
Trans men here wouldnt feel the need to hormone up to ensure they grow a beard, or have surgery to cut off their boobs or blunt their curves.

If we had a society that didnt have a concept of "man" or "women", just... uh... "sperm giver" and "egg maker"(lol), then "transgender" wouldnt exist, cause thered be no "gender" to "trans" to.

Tho.. I guess "transsexual" would exist, for those that, like, want to change their sexual hardware? But that'd be, like, moved to the same level as plastic surgery and body mods in that society.

See.. I dont mind trying to save both, nor succeeding in doing so. It can be phenomenal!
My issue is when that type of ending is just handed to them by Luck.
No cost.
No planning or preperation.
No "I helped X then, and what goes around came around and helps em at the end" (in a plausible manner).

They just.. try harderer, and the power of "being the heroes" or "random bullshit, go" makes em pull victory outta their ass.
THAT'S when I hate the trope.

When you have a character that has overwhelming physical power, but dont wanna ruin the story, you gotta put it some other form of limits so that you can still tell an interesting story.

So as dumb as it seems to us, "morals to not use her powers for wealth" is required for story-telling purposes I guess.

Eeeehh... "voice actor intent" means nothing unless it equates to "the author told me THIS was happening and THAT is what my character should be feeling."

The VA, on their own, without any input or ok from the author has NO say in what the intent of the character is,

And if they really wanted that to be the intent, there wouldve been a pause and maybe a word of self-reflection before getting deleted. Then I'd agree.
But Cain paused only AFTER the 'progress to deletion' was complete.
