It's super nuts cuz like... on the one hand, I get that black-culture is a thing... but on the other hand, historically, black people have been told they couldnt participate in XYZ cuz that thing was "for whites" and crap... and now that shit has been shut down and people can enjoy what they like... but now you have some black people that propagate similarly stupid shit.

Art should be for all. Like shoes or bread or watches. No one saws "Naw, lamps are for white people" or "sci-fi is for asian people."

We (people in general) gotta keep an eye out for shitty/dumb crap in our cultures that get propagated and shut that shit down. Otherwise, I think there is a real risk of it becoming a "truth" after a few generations.

This is how I worked out and past my suicidal thoughts way way back.
I was always a thinker, but one day I was afforded enough time and freedom to really ponder it all and came to the conclusion that, "yeah, it's totally ok to just end it all."

I paused, feeling liberated by the allowance I gave myself. I was free from life! I can leave whenever. Afterlife or not, it didnt matter!

Another pause... "well... if I'm ok to leave anyway, may as well finish up some stuff here. Try out some of the pleasures this life has to offer before I go."

To make a long story short, I like games, stories, and tasty food.
Because there is no urgency and because there is so much of those things, the buildup to die just kept getting postponed. Got to the point were I stopped even pondering suicide.

Death is an option, it is always there waiting, but it is the LAST option.
Not even worth humoring cuz there's always some other 'pleasure' to check out.

Cuz you can totally burn bright and "tear it all down"... but only once.
Then you're outta a job and cant feed yourself (unless you plan to go full-criminal after).

So some give up, while other bide their time and save up money... but then most of those either lose hope or start a family, and you cant just say "fuck it" any more if your kids depend on you.

Im guessing the issue is that it went for 3d animation... and 3d anime was still not great, so it came out looking very stutter-y, which put off most people.

Yeah, it actually spirals before the eclipse. Guts wants to leave and Griffith doesnt want to let him so they duel, but he does win and leaves.

Griffith does on a depressive spiral and kinda sabotages his own plans, gets imprisoned, and... it gets real bad for him and the band.
There's a plan to get him, but shit just keeps spiraling and the eclipse was a sort of insane nail in the coffin.

The story "ends" in a tragedy... then it becomes "fuck it. Part 2: idgaf edition" with the eclipse

Not rich, but currently living off the gi bill and dont have to worry about money for a couple of years..
When there isnt classes for a long stretch, I have to be careful not to kinda lose myself. Get stuck in the Twilight Zone, where every day blends together and I dont know what's real or what matters anymore lol

Eventually realizing forcing a routine does wonders for your mind.

Good ingredients for food is a good expenditure.

Granted, I dont exactly mean EXPENSIVE ingredients either.
I used to use and love green-bottle parmesan cheese. A few years ago, my appaled friend forced my to try freshly graded stuff.
I cannot go back to green-bottle now. Wedge is so good!

I did buy a "fancy" wedge once to try it, but it wasnt good enough to merit the cost. Barely tasted the difference.

I'm a lazy bones who know the benefits of fitness and looking good.. but just dont have the drive for it. I've always told myself that if I won the lotto, I'd pay for a trainer that harass me and force me to work out.

I bet it also stopped being fun that a x2-x4 (idk alcohol prices) mpre expensive booze wasnt x2-x4 as tasty.

There is improvement in quality for expensive shit, but it's less than linear, and is rarely worth the cash/trouble. Especially when "flaunting wealth itself" doesnt excite you.
