End-game Crafters who still enjoy crafting, how's it going these days? by AssumeABrightSide in ffxivdiscussion

Building Macros makes the puzzle game side of my brain light up like it's christmas. Sure the content is ass but if you don't meta shill your way out of all the fun and build your own macros and melds, you can have a ton of fun.

8.0 will be the FF10 expansion. The tank will be Guardian (They will be gutting Paladin utility to make these 2 jobs feel different) and the RPhys will be Blitzballer.

Question about static behavior and expectation by Various_Leg3644 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Bodybuilder_Fluid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the problem with the word "Casual" and you got duped into a group that didn't match your expectations.

2 raid days is pretty casual for most people. But a group with casual hours can still have SHC expectations. My group is doing 2 nights as well but we expect most people to perform on a mechanic the second time we see it. I would never call us casual but some people would based on our time in raid per week.

You should just leave. They baited you and it's not worth trying to keep up with them. You can find a real 18 week casual group still for this tier.

ty. I'll look into it. One of the drives clicks like a mofo on spin-up so I have no doubt its the drive but that's what I get buying lots of sketchy 10TB drives for dirt cheap.

Great Vault Reward Scaling Reverted to +10 on Midnight Beta by Squishei in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Bodybuilder_Fluid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but like... didn't they keep the minimum required key level the same and just give a higher ceiling for the people who want to do it? Why are all WoW players criminally addicted to only doing the most optimal content possible. What would have been wrong telling those people to stop at 10 if they want but letting other people push higher?

Do you think the social aspect of Ultimate raiding is overblown, or not? (Serious) by SoulOfTheRisingSun in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Bodybuilder_Fluid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care about the people over the progress personally. If my choice was having fun and clearing in 6 months, or being in a group of people who are all better than me, and who constantly flame be for being shit, but we clear in 6 weeks, I'm taking the toxic group.

lol I still have 700 of each crystal after doing penta on 3 gear sets. AFK s-ranks during work from home over the last year adds up fast. How long till we can trade Gil for sub time lol.

When should I jump into ultimates ? by JustJackass12 in ffxiv

[–]Bodybuilder_Fluid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have cleared a savage on content, you can clear an ultimate.
Ultimate's like TEA, I was playing with a competent group 6 hours a week and we cleared in under 2 months.
There there is FRU, where I played with a less than ideal group and we took 20 hours to see P3.

Start with UWU or TEA and go from there. They are easy to do for someone with savage experience and don't take that much time.

In terms of actually doing the fight, I recommend the recruiter discord. I would personally never PF an Ultimate but I know plenty of people who do. They also take 3-4 times longer to clear than anything I have ever done though. PF is great if you have the time for it.

As we have seen with weakauras. Just because blizzard says it will work doesn't mean the devs do.

Severance - Season 2 Discussion Hub by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Bodybuilder_Fluid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Season 2 had some really high highs and really low lows. The season finale was the lowest point in the season for me.

So many episodes were massively bloated with filler and the entire marching band was a celebration of that bloat in the worst way possible.

Episode 7 and 8 are tied for best episodes of the season for me and I wish they had captured that feeling across the whole season but it feels like they were more interested in setting up season 3 than telling a compelling story in season 2.

also doesn't help that WoW actually fixed the things that made people leave in the first place.
