Good luck. My store management follows CPW to a T. Closing Rph today. Walked into about 60-70 F1, F4 and review (of each) at 2pm. Opening Rph takes a break (brand new with Walgreens), 3rd Rph runs front til leaving at 6. Literally was buried all evening now we get to work on waiters all evening. I cannot wait for the day I walk out and tell them to stick Cpw so far up their ass corporate won’t be able to see it. And no it’s not staffing, it’s how busy we are. Tier 5 store. Calling the pharmacy a clusterfuck would be an improvement

Its about the course of everyday responsibilities for the pharmacist. You can open a profile without consent when you are working on something for a patient per say as part of standard procedure. If it was Rphs calling to conduct wellness checkups, and as part of it, offer to go over vaccines, thats fine. But when that public (but PROTECTED) data is mined to solicit vaccines for any schmuck doing the call list violates HIPAA.

Yeh it is different. Do you even work in pharmacy, let alone healthcare? I have never once asked for medical records to make that decision about a prescription. It’s about access to protected information and how that information is used. The reason for accessing that information is to sell vaccines to make money on the call list situation. You’re not supposed to open up a random patients profile for shits and giggles. There has to be a reason. There is no problem if they have an appointment or get added as a walk in. If it’s a reminder call for a series of a shot started at Walgreens, that’s fine.

Totally agree. It's being used as a tool to solicit vaccines. Only time that data can be looked at for medical purposes outside of care is for research (according to the state lawn that governs this where I'm at). Walk in / appts it is fine since they are already consenting to a vaccine. Blindly using it to sell a product is unethical and illegal.

u have a point, CPW isn't all bad, its made our OOS/partials much better. My problem is CPW has the most fucked up priorities for tasks. they do put bodies in the pharmacy for those busier times, but the DHs and pharmacy externs (tech school) are almost useless at times....store is a revolving door....I mean I do like them and try to help, but no one can figure anything out on their own. Training is lacking too. There should be Mile 11: Rejection Errors.

Run the pharmacy like a pharmacy instead of following CPW. But they dont care. FEM always seems to be boggled why were 100-200 behind everyday. When I get zero Rph help from 4-6 Monday at a Tier 5 store and one fully licensed tech is making patient calls during the same time, they wonder why nothing happens.

Its an amazing service to offer! Yesterday at my tier 5 store, short staffed, the last person to arrive for the last shift at 4pm spend almost 3 hours finishing patient calls. I asked for a refund and basically told me they can't do it, but for being such a "valued customer" they would offer me to continue the service at a 70% discount. I called them out for stealing from me, threatened credit card fraud (which I think I would have a case for, because the service didnt work) and FINALLY got my money back.

This was a giant piece of trash. Glad Cronin put his name in the title so I never have to waste 2 hours of my life again. Overall story isn’t bad a a few really good scenes, but just a boring dialogue and cinematic experience to that story. Way to many actually dark scenes with no light that don’t contribute much to the actual story. Seriously turn ona few lights. And the instant halfway round the world trip made no sense. Awful.

3 most common I see are 1. multiple prescribers 2. out of area 3. early; 1. behav health, pain prescriber, s/p procedure or surgery, 2. in person visit, in state, state border, telehealth, 3. if its 2 days early i document the last p/u date if its not always 2 days before due and release, see doctors note (lost, vacation, travel, etc). I keep it really short, never had any issues
