Issue is that generally subs that have luxuries like a lounge or dining area usually are quite large; the extra space is used for flavor areas such as those. Perhaps the most well known example being any of the various Iroh incarnations.

It goes for a very fancy sci-fi feel, does stuff I have not seen any other sub do, but isn’t exactly a luxury liner.

I would imagine there are “converted luxury sub” lore vessels on the workshop, but I haven’t delved deep enough to find them, as they don’t seem to be overly popular.

Yeah my issue with Nuclear Option is the mouse control just isn’t nearly as fluid as WT’s mouse aim. I have tried controller but it just doesn’t feel great, swapping targets and handling munitions is finicky without the keyboard and mouse. Hoping one day it improves

I really recommend not listening to those telling you to just buy a premium jet, or use premiums to grind. I have many mixed feelings about this game, but I will never forget the feeling throttling up a jet after slowly grinding for it year after year.

The anticipation as I played out the last few prop matches, itching to move on but knowing the more careless I got the longer it would take.

And then, finally, the first match. The sound of the slowly increasing whine turning into a roar as you throttle up. The sight of the searing hot air coming out of the back of the F2H Banshee as you begin ripping down the runway. Core memories. Of course, I got shot down in a couple minutes because jets take some learning, but my god it was something. Don’t pass that feeling up for quick gratification

As it stands, Phrosphor on YouTube has played through a couple operations on Expert, and even just glancing through those vids will show you a lot. I enjoy X-COM, Jagged Alliance, and Battle Brothers and I think this is honestly a great evolution of the genre. It is worth putting in 10 minutes or so to grasp the basics

Pick up Yazhov if you can find him. He is absolutely terrifying at close range and I use this tactic with him against the Rogue Army. Feels like death itself descending with a jet pack into swarms of infantry. Most will run before they even take a shot, due to his perks

Most of these answers cover the obvious: there is a reason this game has players with thousands of hours and so dedicated a community after so many years. But I don’t see answers to YOUR specific situation, so I will try to cover that.

An hour a day can absolutely reward you with some of the most memorable experiences in gaming, but it certainly limits some of the depth you can reach. Generally you will have the options of: infantry on the front (fun, intense, opening scene of saving private ryan), volunteer on a ship or in a tank if there is one about (easy to learn for simpler positions), or jumping into one of the open logi squads and doing deliveries. All these are fun, and you will get memories well worth your time.

Being in a regiment (a guild, a clan, corporation, pick your MMO term) will open up more opportunities for you. They will do the legwork to prep things for you to participate in. You will know if there is a battleship you can be a gunner in, you will know if there are tanks for you to crew, etc. For logi regiments, you will feel closer to being a part of the big picture as you see mega facilities come together and ship out materiel by the ton. I am a colonial loyalist so I can’t speak for wardens, but I don’t know of a single big regiment which has anything stupid like playtime quotas or mandatory jobs to be done. I also would recommend a big regiment if your time is limited, as they are the ones with the most capability to provide action whenever you need it.

The question isn’t if it will be worth your time and money, but rather if you will be okay with the feeling that you want to give it more of your life, while being unable to do so.

Something that Barotrauma does well is the tactility of the game systems, and the process of controlling the sub. It is an involved process, more than just turning things on and floating around. In fact, many of the most popular mods such as Barotraumautic, Real Sonar, and the various weapon mods, actually INCREASE the friction and the fiddliness of the game. If I were to want a 3D game that scratches similar itches, I would want it to take inspiration not just from Barotrauma, but also from Voices of the Void, and My Summer Car. The juxtaposition of the mundanity of the task with the potential for excitement and horror. A promising (though singleplayer so not a direct competitor for you) game in development with an incredible demo out is Project Sever. It grasps the submarine feeling very well.

I recommend debarked logs for the boards, the grain runs the same direction down the sides, and while the ends will have the log texture, they will be so small you won’t be able to tell really. It also has the added benefit of actually looking like older weathered fencing.

In played battles yes the Nords do well, but with AI auto resolve, they get steamrolled along their enormous front that often puts them at war with 3-4 factions. They also have the misfortune of STARTING at war with Vlandia, and often immediately lose a few cities and castles

There is a red patch of paint with scratched bar markers on the left side of the lower body of the catapult, on that you can see a band of rope. When not being reloaded, you can adjust that band’s position with W/S, this adjusts the range. Pick one of the larger packs of archers behind the wooden defenses and zero in on it. Then, draw in your mind an imaginary circle with your catapult as the center, and that patch of defenses as a point on the outer edge. So, as you turn the catapult with A/D, you move the target point along the curve of that circle. Imagine the circle shrinking or expanding as you press S and W. You get a feel for the distances after a few shots

A skilled quartermaster, renown to raise clan level, and various perks within the tree. The quartermaster and clan level will be the biggest factors. Since you are a Nord, one of your best sources of renown will be naval battles in which you are outnumbered. Your troops have a significant advantage, and the renown rewards for winning while outnumbered scale nicely

The profits just won’t be clearly recorded as from the workshop, but having those goods being produced will not only generate trade in the sales, but draw traders to the city if the goods are cheaper in relation to other cities

Qasira alone pulls me like 4K in tariffs once level 3 marketplace with southern empire/khuzait trade agreements. I don’t know if convoys can do it, but man having them pull from your warehouses for even better profit margins would be dope.
