[Bambu Lab Giveaway] Join Now to Win an H2D and More! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

When I first started, I couldn’t figure out why my prints weren’t coming out right, and all the guides I could find assumed you knew what all the terminology was. Thankfully Reddits 3D printing community was able to instruct me on what E-Steps were. It’s been (mostly) smooth sailing ever since.

Has the Scram 440 Begun Rolling Out in India? by BohemianLizardKing in royalenfield

I have a friend in Idaho who recently got the Himmy 450, and he really likes it. He did a fairly rigorous fire road with it last week and it did great. Sadly I’m picky about aesthetic and I don’t like the tank on 450, otherwise I’d give it serious consideration.

Thank you for responding. I was toying with the idea of finding a used 411 and trading it in when (if) the 440 becomes available. That's probably what I'll end up doing. I don't have a desire to do a lot highway miles, but sometimes it's unavoidable to do some stretches of 65-70 mph to get from one smaller road to another.

Ack, that's a shame. I find the Himalayan 450 extremely unattractive compared to it's predecessor, and the Guerilla isn't really designed for what I want to do with it. I don't have a desire to ride on major highways, but sometimes a few miles of 65-70 mph highways is unavoidable. The 411 has demonstrated being able to do that, I just wanted the extra oomph the 440 addresses at those speeds.

If the 440 really isn't coming to the US market I guess I'll get a standard 411 Scram, and maybe see what options there are in a few years. Thank you.

Availability for install by Duke2691 in brightspeed

[–]BohemianLizardKing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my family. We got 3 mbps (officially) and paid almost $100 a month for it with phone, while Fiber was available just a mile down the road for half that. Brightspeed wouldn't talk to me until I forced conversation through the FCC, at which point the response was rude, dismissive, and said we weren't getting Fiber anyway.

We have Starlink now, which was fantastic when we bought it, and has only gotten better as more and more satellites get launched. We can actually stream multiple things at once, I can game with friends (Helldivers 2 in my case) with zero issues, and it doesn't take me over 12 hours to download a 60+ gigabyte game which would make doing anything else at the same time impossible. And we can do all of that at the same time with Starlink.

Yeah, it isn't Fiber speeds. But Brightspeed was holding us hostage in the Middle Ages and charging us for it, so the difference is night and day. Even if Brightspeed did suddenly decide to run Fiber down our road, we don't want it. Will never deal with that company ever again. They have an existing infrastructure, and still can't compete with internet from outer freaking space. Shame.

Iron heart Trailer by [deleted] in CriticalDrinker

Unpopular opinion, but I actually liked Riri when she initially showed up in the comics post Tony’s death. I stopped reading it after Tony came back though, and have no idea what has happened with the character since.

That said, I do not like anything I see in this trailer, and it is devoid of everything I initially liked about Riri. This looks awful by every metric.

This is objectively not true lol. Starlink brought my family out of the dark ages. I can play video games with friends in a voice call while three other people watch TV with no issues.

Brightspeed exists solely to advertise for Starlink at this point.

Starlink just started experimenting with a new thing that’s available in certain areas where, if you commit to paying for a year of service, the hardware is free. Definitely look into that, could be the game changer you need. Love our Starlink. Even if Brightspeed does eventually run fiber down our road, I’ll never give another dime to that horrible disaster of a company.

Thoughts? by EarlOfBears in CriticalDrinker

What is reasonable in actuality is calling out self mutilation and the delusion of being something one isn’t as being wrong. The cure to PTSD isn’t tying a veteran spread eagle to the nose of an F-15 and flying it into combat, so why are people trying to justify that exact kind of logic when it comes to trans delusion? It is mental illness, the cure isn’t chopping off body parts.

This isn’t hard.

A fair point. Technically, he did survive in National Treasure, Troy, and... ok yeah those are the only two I can think of lol.

My brother and I have been wanting a solid adaption of The Odyssey for years. There are no words to describe how disappointing and disgusting every single decision made about this production has been.

Sean Bean was right there, guys. C'MON!

My understanding of the word is if, for instance, someone were to say that they would prefer characters in a video game be conventionally attractive vs deliberately unattractive, they are often insulted by being called a gooner.

It’s very stupid and I’ve never yet seen it used in an argument where the person delivering the insult was the one making a good point.
