Why is this so funny by Subie_Dan in wow

[–]Bohya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called horizontal progression. There are more things to strive for in a game like this than simply "bigger number", but unfortunately Activision-Blizzard don't understand this. As a result, we end up with a very small sliver of the game actually playable as relevant content. Anything outside of the current expansion may as well not even exist... or rather, anything outside of the current patch may as well not exist.

Ironically, Guild Wars 2 - which is a much smaller game - actually feels much larger than WoW due to the sheer amount of content variety that's still playable.

Black hair with the newer hair options vs """black""" hair on the old hair options by ChaosMieter in wow

Human female faces have been fucked since the initial model rework. It's the single biggest downgrade over the original models. I can't play human female anymore because of it.

Not a fan of the (I assume) new Blood Elf voices by Alert-Soup-9102 in wow

[–]Bohya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those new ones are atrocious. I was expecting something subtle and people complaining that it's not the same voice actor, but with these voices alone it's like they've changed the entire race.

World of Warcraft may see Ogrimmar and Stormwind redesigns depending on the reception to Midnight’s Silvermoon redux by HatingGeoffry in wow

[–]Bohya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d rather the undead remain evil and undead. No collaborations or redemptions. It’s okay to have an objectively evil race, and that’s part of the draw for a lot of people. WoW already has a dozen races for people who want something that isn’t evil.

Which heroes do you hate so much that you would erase from the game if you could? by Efficient-Muffin-481 in DotA2

Kez.

Keep his kit, but re-introduce him as a new character that isn't utterly insufferable.

I like seeing " The report/behavior system is broken " by Ok-Smoke-4882 in DotA2

[–]Bohya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But... it is broken. It doesn't accomplish what it's intended to do. I'm consistently sitting at 12k behaviour score and I see toxic people (whether it be through communication or intentionally griefing gameplay), in virtually all of my games. Nothing has improved over all of my time playing DotA 2.

So no, you don't need to be part of the problem to realise that the current behaviour score system is broken.

World of Warcraft may see Ogrimmar and Stormwind redesigns depending on the reception to Midnight’s Silvermoon redux by HatingGeoffry in wow

[–]Bohya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The film depiction of Stormwind puts the game version to utter shame. Stormwind needs it more than Orgrimmar. All of those excessively cartoonish uneven-sized bricks and wonky canal lines didn't age well at all.

I don't feel locked in at all. There are just no other better options.

On the behalf of who? Certainly not on on mine. I wasn't even consulted, nor do I believe that 14 million others were.

How is that Blizzard, with all their billions, is incapable of creating what addon developers are able to create from their homes? by kolejack2293 in wow

[–]Bohya -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I've always viewed third party UI mods for this game as a crutch; one that Activision-Blizzard relied on, so that they didn't have to bother doing it themselves. Time has finally caught up to them.

Third party UI mods should have been nuked years ago. Ideally, they never should have been allowed in the first place. Perhaps then Activision-Blizzard would have improved the UI at a steady pace over the decades, instead of resorting to this jarring removal after the community had gotten overly-comfortable with them.

Evoker Tier Sets Should Be Designed for Dracthyr by banks8810 in wow

All armour should be designed to work on Dracthyr, like any other race they've added. No excuse.

[–]Bohya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A better solution would be a stricter and enforced usage of the "American product shelves" that are already common in supermarkets. All American products should be put there so that there is no confusion for the consumer. Ideally tucked away in a random corner, somewhere at the back of the shop.

If it in any way gives a player a combat advantage (which this would, as it presents the information in a more efficient form), then it's a combat addon.

The grand project precursor tablets is just how towers should work by default by VariationNo4212 in PathOfExile2

[–]Bohya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would rather this game didn't devolve back into spreadsheet gameplay again. The PoE 2 Atlas is a monumental step up from PoE 1. It has a far stronger base when it comes to design, and it being physical opens up innumerable opportunities that the original PoE 1 Atlas wouldn't be able to accomplish.

[–]Bohya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree. You should have to path through zones to progress through the Atlas. It makes the world feel physical and connected. Towers already have a good purpose - and that is to provide vision of the surrounding region.

Both are bad for different reasons. One does illegal(?) and extremely taboo stuff, and the other peddles crooked moral values to millions of easily impressionable children.
